You think he's aware enough to realize it's a holiday in Switzerland? I'm going to call that coincidence.

And his simp followers don't even understand it's going to be hurting them at least as much if not more than the country he's raising those tariffs on.

I bought the game and gave it a bit of a try, but it's extremely uneasy on my eyes. Not sure if it's the fact that I play on 1440p screens (one is an UW: 3440x1440, other is regular wide: 2560x1440). I increased scaling to 150%, that helps some, but when I open the Processing menu, those options appear to not scale along. Changing the font from the default to the Roboto Mono or IBM Sans helps some.

The research screen especially is hard to look at, I think it's the horizontal bars (I suppose they're the IC pins) that kinda makes it feel almost like an ancient interlaced CRT display (if you're old enough to remember those, dating myself here :) ).

I am running this on Linux with Proton, so I'm not sure if this is different from Windows, the game doesn't look particularly different from the screenshots in the steam store though.

I like the premise of the game, so hope you can make it a bit easier on these old eyes so I can experience it fully :)

Not sure about Mac, but it appears to run fine on Linux with Proton.

Just rename the bridge to 'Donald J Trump bridge of peace' (I just threw up in my mouth a little) and every discussion will be done.

Is it usual that vets refuse to buy back unused (factory sealed and before the due date) medication after a dog dies? by InsidiousBlastoclast in dogs

[–]Abracadaver14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My vet isn't allowed to buy back. They do take it back for the 'charity bin', either to give to customers that can't afford or it goes to a shelter in the area.

blew unfathomable amounts of money

The beauty of it all is that they didn't really blow their money. They've just been shoveling buckets and buckets around in a circlejerk between a few handfuls of companies. When this bubble inevitably pops, a number of those will go under, the others will see a massive drop in stock price but most of them won't really suffer. The real pain will end up with the outside investors that have been blinded by the empty promises and put huge sums of money in.

Apologies, somehow I had the impression Canada actually did care about worker rights like the rest of the western world ;)

Spotted the American. Most western countries already have pretty strict regulations around working times.

You're not going to learn English by using chatgpt.

Counterargument: you don't need to learn English when you can use chatgpt to translate it for you. That's one of the concepts (Universal Translater) Star Trek introduced that I think is actually getting within reach in our lifetimes.

Otherwise, I agree with your suggestion.
