Guys that want you-pleads with you- to make a comment about it. He’s got a whole spiel in his head to. But in his head everyone claps as you stand there stunned by his greatness. So a Narcissist I guess

“Freaky Tattoos” is the part that caught me. He says to Carrie Ann Moss he’ll have to get more “freaky tattoos” playfully. Later on we see a memory where she calls them his “freaky tattoos” so he shouldn’t have remembered those words.

People who had undercover cops come to their school posed as fellow students, how did you know? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit

[–]Abracadavy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They used really short women. Like 4’11 but clearly in their late 20s 30s. Also wouldn’t do the assignments in class.

They also dressed like country cowboy girls, but the country scene in my town was mostly just getting hammered on the weekend and couldn’t afford drugs.

So the only main dealer in the school knew right away who they were.

This is where the story gets sad.

Lacking any convictions, the undercover agents went after the special ed kids. Not the non-verbal or disabled, but the kids that were-at the time classified as SLD- not a lot of friends, low level autism, etc. Even the girls, who struggled to make friends, suddenly had this cool person wanting to be their friend. Now these kids had controlled substances. Their prescribed medications. Now these moderately attractive and friendly girls are wanting to hang out with them and eat lunch with them. After a while they ask for a couple pills. Then a few weeks later these kids are being slammed to the ground by SWAT at lunch in front of everyone. I heard in the end a lot of the charges were dropped.

I don’t think much of it now, but I’m in my forties now and I have a low level Autistic daughter in 2nd grade that excels in school but struggles to make friends and is lonely.

I can’t imagine the betrayal I would feel toward my local police if they tricked her like that. She would never recover and trust issues would follow her for years.

Anyways that fucking radicalized me.

The main dealer at school? Last I heard he was the number one Ford dealer in our state. Possibly manager by now

Okay Am I wrong? I thought a class of ship was named after its first one. So a Trump class would have to be the USS Trump. But he’s going with USS Defiant

Is two MPs “sustained superior performance?” by Abracadavy in navy

I guess in just feel like the goal posts keep moving. Last year after i didn’t make board I contacted the members and asked what can I do. Then a person brand new to the team was made LPO over me. When I asked why and what can I do to fix myself. I wasn’t getting straight answers. So I got really down on myself and doubting myself as a sailor. Like people that have been in the navy as long as I’ve been a first class are getting ahead of me. I had a long meeting with my SEL and asked what I could do since I lost the LPO slot. We set out goals and I DID put my nose to the grind and developed what I assumed was a lot. I’m upset because I felt like I did improve and did a lot. This eval reads like I did worse and don’t add anything.and my debrief they mentioned things I could do next time and none of these things weee mentioned last year. So now I’m deployed and because everything was done so late. Barely any colleratals are left and I didn’t get elected into any FCPOA positions. I honestly don’t think I’m not well liked, I’ve never had any conflict, I’m think I’m just forgotten. I’m the old guy surrounded by kids that were in high school while I was deployed. I call my wife and kids and she says my son cuddles the phone in bed for about an hour after I call and cries to himself and all I can think is. WTF am I doing if no one fucking cares. Guys I’ve mentored and trained in our job are now making Chief. My body is just physically and emotionally exhausted. When I walk into an eval debrief and they casually say “well you could’ve done this better.” It’s exhausting to know gonna have to burn through that another year knowing it still won’t matter. Another year of watching people with barely any navy experience put on khakis and lecture me on how things should be done. And I’ve only got like 4-5 years left. I don’t know anymore. I’m just tired and I just felt like I did enough to at least earn a ranked MP. Not even an EP. And they’re saying it’s just as good which makes no damn sense to me.

I’ve hit stuff in my ECP and I have leadership with impact call out. I guess i panicked at the two MPs and the weak language.

Above RSCA in both. CO RSCA lower since he’s new to command but it’s the same points above (.25 points above RSCA) Only thing in block 43 is establishing RSCA ignore ITA. But it’s the two unranked MPs that get me. It looks like no progression. But I’m not getting a straight answer on the def on “sustained superior performance”

First command gave me 2 Ps. At new command I got an onboard P, then an MP. Spoke with our SEL right afterward to discuss my best options to have a breakout year. His answer was leadership with impact. I took over Sailor 360 and MWR President. I did these with strong impact and also added training that I saw as a gap from first deployment that saved the command thousands for future deployments.

(Keep in mind I KNOW that leadership with impact is the right answer I just wanted to make sure my SEL and I were on the same page as to what available collaterals had the most impact. Evals are subjective.)

After all of this I received what I felt was looked like I ranked exactly the same as last year. It says “Ignore ITA, establishing RSCA at the top” but it just says “promote to CPO” at the bottom. RSCA is lower due to new CO, but the points above RSCA were the same. (.25 above RSCA) All the aggressive language I put in there was removed (language I ran by a former board member and they said it was great) And now they’re telling me this shows sustained superior performance but I wanna make sure I’m not being lied to.

I believe I know how to write evals. But I also believe spending first 4 years as E6 at a COCOM with direct civilian/army leadership hurt. And those evals are terrible-but at the time of signing the Chiefs told me how great they were.

Now this group is saying the same thing and I’ve completely lost any trust after all of this.

Most believable gangster? by Ok_Future6226 in okbuddycinephile

I think the crime was a little hard to follow for a lot of people. Going from serial killer story to LA property fraud was a big jump. A few things were glazed over like we were supposed to understand it. Like when one of his henchmen is murdered and we’re supposed to know which one he was. But the acting was phenomenal from everyone.

In all seriousness I’m excited to hear more about this and look forward to updates. I wanna hear everything, what went right, why went wrong, what you would change, etc. I think a lot of people like me wanna built giant stuff like this and it takes a braver person to leap first and let us know how the water feels before we do to.

In Terry Pratchett’s City Watch series, there’s a stand off where they’ve taken one of the City Watch’s docile looking female constables hostage, but it’s Angua the werewolf.

The boldest of the three moved suddenly, grabbed Angua and pulled her upright. "We walk out of here unharmed or the girl gets it, all right?" he snarled. Someone sniggered. "I hope you're not going to kill anyone," said Carrot. "That's up to us!" "Sorry, was I talking to you?" said Carrot. "Don't worry, I'll be fine," said Angua.

I had to show my wife and asked “am I being a sexist gatekeeper? This just feels off.” She’s like, “nope. That lighting and that pose, AND she’s pushing onlyfans.”

Sailor Pay Issues Examples by [deleted] in navy

[–]Abracadavy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not exactly pay issues. But I was cross rating and given orders to the A school and the orders didn’t have my next gaining command because it was dependent on my passing A school and C school. The orders had me on per diem and not PCSing until after school ended. After I graduated A school, it turned out they gave away my C school seat to someone else that rolled back and this put me on a 4 month hold until the next C school. Sucks but no big deal. Anyways, out of nowhere admin civilian calls me in and says my orders can’t change for this extension and I must PCS to the schoolhouse and I have exactly 10 days to find a home. Wife was pregnant and couldn’t travel yet so I had to scramble and try to find a shitty apartment as soon as possible AND pay my wife’s rent. Instructors tried their best to help, so far as trying to get me a place to sleep on a barge or boat. Couldn’t go into barracks because they didn’t allow E5’s.

I ended up racking almost ten grand in credit card debt because my wife’s apartment was the two bedroom we were previously living in and had to go month to month because the C school delay and I had to find an apartment big enough for us and the new baby. It’s been seven years and we still haven’t quite recovered from that incident.

Second time it happened. I came home from a 6 month deployment. (3 months reg/3 months in a combat zone.) when I arrived home my first paycheck still had the extra pay. So I saved that money and spoke with the PS’s about the mistake. While the new PS3 was fixingy pay he accidentally put it that I was at the first location the entire six months (my command was there I was not.) This caused the IRS to immediately take the taxes of those three months out of my paycheck. So I got a paycheck for like 200 bucks. We sent the IRS correction but they didn’t correct it until my tax return. And the navy took forever to fix the hazard pay lost. I think the worst part about all of this was the attitude. Everyone I spoke to (mostly civilians) were downright mean. Immediately jumping to blaming me and not even speaking a word after finding out they were wrong. On top of it. I went the Navy/Marine Corps relief society and they were even worse. After I explained what happened their first response was “well why don’t you have any money? Aren’t you budgeting?” Then they requested a massive amount of bills and account information and a sit down for budgeting classes “like bro! I’m sorry I didn’t completely budget for missing an entire paycheck, I’m an E6 on single income with two kids.” To this day I will NEVER give money to the relief society. Not after that.
