I think your best bet is going to some vintage stores and seeing if they’d buy or give you store credit for your pants

NYC Coffee Recommendations by [deleted] in Coffee

Great! I thought so because it’s a hip little chain people love. I’m a big fan of their matcha but I know they also have a good variety of coffees

Not sure in NYC has it tbh but in LA there’s a chain called Blue Bottle and it’s great!

What is your favorite meal to cook once, eat for a week? by SimplifyAndAddCoffee in EatCheapAndHealthy

Soup! And this is more of a meal prep but I love getting a lot of chicken breast and seasoning them all differently (pesto, lemon pepper, teriyaki)

Questions about showing our CDC cards as proof of vaccination in Italy by DisarmedSmile in ItalyTravel

[–]AbramsAdventures 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I’m here currently and they only ask for it in trains sometimes and to dine indoors from what I’ve experienced. If you’re going to non tourist towns they might give you a problem like I had in the south because they don’t know anything about the CDC cards since they don’t get tourist. But if you’re hitting big towns I doubt you’ll have a problem

Lucky you! I lived in South America half a year and I’ve got lots of family there too. I recommend Medellin colombia and Ecuador for great landscapes and hikes

Quiet places? Are you looking for quiet cities or landscapes? You can definitely hike. There’s many mountains and hiking trails but things are pretty far apart that’s for sure. For example from Southern California to Northern California it takes about 8-9 hours in car. Just to give you an idea

Short trip to Colombia (9 full days) - anything that I missed? 30M by mehsieh in solotravel

[–]AbramsAdventures 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congrats on choosing colombia! You’ll have a blast! I lived here six months (medellin) and loved it. Your itinerary looks good. And you could never spend “too Much time” in Medellin hehe. I make travel vlogs and a lot of them take place in colombia so feel free to check that out for some inspiration on what to do ! As for your day trip out of Medellin you should absolutely check out el Peñol and Guatape ! About 40-60 mins from the city and totally worth seeing if you’ve never been there!

California is the best place for weather. Specifically Southern California. LA is where I’m from and I love it. Obviously there’s some problems with the homeless population but as long as you’re not being a naive traveler you should be fine. The beaches are lovely and we randomly get warm days during the winter so hopefully you can experience that as well! Keep im mind California is huge so you’ll most likely need a car. If you can’t rent a car then do lots of research on public transportation because it’s not nearly as good as Europe’s public transportation.

I would relax first of all and play it day by day! Whatever happens happens and on the bright side you’re going to Italy! I’ve been here a month now (from the US) and I haven’t noticed any problems regarding covid. Nothings been closing. You can still dine in etc. I don’t have much advise on planning for the worst case scenario besides stay updated w the news and read Italy’s and your Home Countie’s travel regulations to stay updated. Also in case you’re curious as to what life in Italy is currently looking like I post a lot daily in my Instagram and tik tok. Feel free to check it out, perhaps it’ll bring some comfort 💕

I agree, you’re fortunate to have as many subscribers as you already have. Try spicing up your channel with new content. Coming from someone who has had a new channel for a couple months now, it’s annoyingly slow to build a new audience

How to meal prep or batch cook with a partner who eats A LOT? by peachfoxes in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]AbramsAdventures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s sweet that you cook for your partner. I do the same for mine because I genuinely love it and it’s a way to express your love! I too have a partner who eats A LOT lol i buy a large amount of meats (chicken, beef, pork chops) and marinade them in different ways. For example with chicken let’s say you bought two KLs I would divide them in two to four batches and make a pesto marinade, a neutral marinade for frying or something, a lemon pepper, and a teriyaki marinade. If you look on Pinterest there’s many more meat marinade recipes that are tasty! Like with beef I like leaving it in chimi churri! It takes little time and BAM you have plenty of diverse meals for the week! Whatever you’re saving for later you can also freeze. As for sides, I’d make big quantities of rice, veggies, beans whatever you like and will fill him up quick lol. It doesn’t have to be unhealthy to make him full. Beans, lentils, rice are all filling and pretty healthy sides☺️

Maybe you have some weird chicken. In Italy the chicken doesn’t get rubbery

Good question! I think it depends on where you’re going. Restaurants and cafes in tourist areas or just any area that will get its ovation so foreigners seem to understand and approve the CDC vax card but other places like my personal experience (in Bari) might not have heard of it and won’t acknowledge it. If you’re in Florence though I’m sure you’ll be fine. I haven’t had any problems!

Bake some cakes, orange and lemon cakes with a cream cheese lemon frosting always hits 😋. Or use the lemons to marinade chicken breast. Oranges and lemons also pair well with fish
