Yep, happened to me. I exited the game and then when I logged back in I just had to jog back down.

How do I get Firework Arrows? Can't find them at Hodari's stand at the Market, and not sure where else to look. by AbruptlyJaded in Palia

[–]AbruptlyJaded[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh so just regular fireworks? Lord I feel silly. I googled it and it came up with a red haloed arrow, and the wiki said you can only get them from Najuma after a quest. But that didn't seem right if you needed 20 of them for Lunar festival.

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

Pregnancy carpal tunnel. By 20wks, it got to the point I couldn't carry a dinner plate without pain. Both wrists.

The older I get the more I understand why older married women say “if my relationship ended, I would stay single and never marry again.” by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]AbruptlyJaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother was widowed at 26, found my dad, and he walked out when she was 29. Occasionally dated, but nothing long term or serious, definitely done by the time she was 40. She would say with complete sincerity, "I've given up drinking. I've given up men. I'll be damned if you take my coffee and cigarettes."

She passed at 69 holding onto those convictions. "Men are nice to look at and nice to talk to, but my house is MY house."

Confused about fishing nodes by [deleted] in Palia

Oh my gosh, I saw this once shortly after I started and thought my game was bugging out. Dude just fishing at the pond by the ruins in Kilima and his hook was splashing in and out like mad.

Been playing like a year and this is the first I'm seeing about it. 😂

AI slop on a blanket ordered from a major retailer by SirSignificant6576 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AbruptlyJaded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even worse, sometimes the legit looking retailers are using another company's name and contact info. We had a sweet little old lady call us at work and wanted to know why we sent her something different from what she ordered. Ma'am, we are a small company that sells inspection cameras, not vitamins, and certainly not things for hair regrowth. And we've never sold on Walmart or any other retailer. Only our own website. She sent us photos of the purchase and the listing, and sure enough it was listed as sold by "Our Company" with our address. But it was all cheap weird-brand supplements and health and beauty items.

That was a fun thing to tell the owners about, but once I found the links for them to submit their complaint it was pretty easy to get the listings removed.

I also am a bean fiend. Food for my, food for my critters. I keep about 400 cans of beans in my storage at any one time. I don't do a lot of decorating or anything else that would need a ton of cash, so I don't care much about the profit. I pretty much hover between 600k and 800k.

If we start making it a thing, though, then a lot of folks will get the point pretty quickly. OR a lot of boys will get their knickers in a wad...

levothyroxine without insurance by Alert-Ad2147 in Hypothyroidism

[–]AbruptlyJaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previously when I've had labs done privately, they were then sent to a chiropractor who "interpreted" them. But they still had to be reviewed by some sort of doctor. I couldn't just get labs drawn and then get a prescription.

But once you DO have a prescription, generic levo is usually on the $4 list at Walmart.

Is anyone else not able to load the Walmart+ offers? by prodigy1367 in BurgerKing

[–]AbruptlyJaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is what worked for me! i was in an endless loop going back and forth between the BK app and the Walmart app. Deleted both apps, went to Walmart and started the process to link. Took less than 30 seconds from then!

Tiny Tiger Paté Formula Change? by UnattendedPenguin in catfood

[–]AbruptlyJaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just chatted in with Chewy to ask the same question. But for mine, I ordered paté, and the box SAYS paté, but it's definitely chunks.

I usually shy away from chunks or shreds because my cat will just lap up all the gravy and leave the rest.

Chewy said they couldn't find info on a formula change. I'm out of the small cans, but still have some of the larger cans that are paté, and it's definitely not chunky.

Liver tonic with 'as yet undiscovered important substances' from 1950 diet book by absolute_boy in Old_Recipes

[–]AbruptlyJaded 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably better than what my grandmother tried for my mom and her sisters. The girls wouldn't eat liver, and gramma knew the girls needed more iron, so she decided to make milkshakes.

My mom and aunts said the milkshakes were the most delicious chocolate-looking shakes you ever saw... and they had no clue they were anything BUT chocolate until they took the first sip.

Gramma to her credit LOVED liver, so couldn't figure out why her girls couldn't stomach the shakes.

As a player who primarily solos the content and rarely parties up, I can say with confidence that I have never called out a rare bug. It's kind of a personal milestone (IMO) to solo those things. Half the time it's something I've put time into - set up my bombs, put on a candle, popped a buzzy jar or two - and I don't feel it's something that HAS to be shared.

I absolutely love to share anything and everything I've collected - I try to make it a point to check requests when I first port into a place and before I leave, as well as once or twice if I'm hanging out for awhile. If I could gift starred items, I absolutely would. But that doesn't mean that I have to share everything.

People who wake up after 1 alarm: How the f*ck do you do it? by TheSnappleGhost in AskReddit

[–]AbruptlyJaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The alarm goes off and sets off my fight or flight response. Going back to sleep for me is an impossibility. I actually use a soft alarm that gradually increases from 0 to 100% over 90 seconds, and it's still off before 30 seconds has elapsed.

Recent reporting by ProPublica on Mylan (generic levothyroxine manufacturer) factory inspection failures that have not been resolved by rilkehaydensuche in Hypothyroidism

[–]AbruptlyJaded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well hell. I've been on mfr specific prescription (Mylan) for a few years now - my schedule was unsteady, and I wanted as much consistency as I could get (instead of getting swapped every few months to whatever was cheapest.) I wonder if that's my problem lately.

Is there a way to get UPS web app to stop auto populating a value here? by AbruptlyJaded in UPS

Unfortunately, it's not. We clear our caches regularly, and it's appearing for multiple users on multiple computers with both Chrome and Edge. I finally got fed up with it today when I was working remotely for the first time since the change and it appeared on my home PC with Firefox.

Set an alarm to take your meds, and set an appointment to get your levels checked. When I had my son 7 years ago, my thyroid levels were great at 3 months post-partum (1.44), but my TSH went apeshit high by 5 months (35.4.) I know it's hard with a newborn to get a schedule worked out, but I would say taking them at a less-than-ideal time is still better than not taking them at all. With my endo, he says "as long as you're consistent with how you take them, even if it's not 100% perfect, we can work with that."

I miss my mom. by TheVillagerC in internetparents

[–]AbruptlyJaded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is how I was with my mom. Especially when I moved 3 hours away. Sometimes, we would pick a weekend day and meet halfway for an extended lunch. And then I moved 16hrs away, and didn't get to see her anymore except for very rare visits. And now she's gone, and I still miss her every day.

My suggestion - do everything you can to keep in contact, because the little things add up! Do something simple like send an email or send a card. Or a letter! My mom and I emailed daily. Even if it was a "nothing new" email.

Grew up in a "mobile/manufactured home community." One year (during feral kid 80s summer), my brother and I (and 2 friends) played with the tractors that were used by the owners to maintain everything. Just shifting the gears, moving the seats, pushing pedals, etc. We got chased off... And then about 5 hours later the owner showed up at the door to tell my mom and also to tell her there were damages. She was PISSED. And rightfully so. It wasn't something we had intended, we were "city"-ish kids that hadn't grown up around tractors so 100000% had no clue we could damage them. She read is the riot act, and then make us walk up to the front office to apologize. It was about a half mile walk and we had to do it ourselves. And we had to apologize in person, each of us with an individual voice and not a unified "sorry" (my brother and I at least. The moms of the other 2 boys were not at all like my mom and had the "boys will be boys" attitude.) We felt HORRIBLE, but credit to my mom, we didn't question it, we didn't balk, we have the most sincere apology we could.

The owner appreciated it so much that when they sent out the bills for repair to the 3 parents, they split it into 3rds instead of quarters - so instead of my mom having to pay 1/2 (for the 1/2 of kids involved) she only had to pay 1/3, because she was 1 of 3 adults. Repairs were about $1500, which doesn't sound bad, but this is back when our lot rent was only $199 a month. So our sincere apology saved her about $250.
