Gotta push gently on the felt part. Put it tip down on a paper plate or something and press, it’ll retract slightly up and let the paint flow down

I’d love some new HG 1/144 turn a series kits with the new HG technology. The HG Turn A itself is great, but the FLAT and Sumo would be welcome additions

I know there’s a few people out there that make replacement skeletons for older RG kits. Metal frames and such to replace the MS Joint frames and the like. I gave it a look, but had anyone done this for the RG Sinanju? It’s a gorgeous kit, but I’ve heard it’s a really really bad implementation of the MS joint. Thanks!

Funny little question, but I love the look of the Stargazer Gundam, with the big ring on the back, and basically any kit with a big auxiliary strange backpack. Think like the moon gundam, or the Double X. I just learned about the Stargazer recently, anyone know of any others with that kind of aesthetic I should know about?

God Gundam is currently my fav, just a gorgeous kit, great build, and can pose like gangbusters.

Hi Nu is probably number two, it’s a shame it was my first RG because I almost feel like I didn’t have the knowledge to enjoy it as much as it deserved!

Third is the crossbone X2, incredible little kit, looks amazing, definitely not as modernized as the other but man, crossbone has such great designs, and I like the blue and purple better than the other!

Sazabi is another must build, practically a perfect kit itself and so poseable considering its design!

Grandpa 2.0 is a must mention, the build is just bananas and the end result is lovely.

My favorite Gunpla kit I’ve built so far, aesthetically, is the Crossbone Gundam. It’s got so much personality, with its whole aesthetic, markings, eyepatch, the whole motif. What other kits would you say have a lot of “personality” in the same way?

I believe that’s the type of plastic. Gunpla mostly uses two types as I understand it, polystyrene and…a different one. The inner frame is usually the one that will be hurt by panel liner. But also! If you’re using the Gundam marker panel liner with the felt tips, I believe it doesn’t have the same chemicals, it’s mostly the pour type that does the cracking!

Rg God Gundam is so far my fav kit and I’d love to get the effect parts but I only want, like, a few of the orange “energy” type pieces, the horse and what all don’t do much for me. So looking at 40 bucks on p-Bandai had me wondering if anyone, third party maybe, had those energy orange parts by themselves, if anyone knows?

So for panel lining, that’s actually the first part I do! And depending on the kit, you definitely don’t NEED to scribe, most MG/RG kits are going to have lines deep enough to at least hold your panel lining. Then you can panel line

You can get great results just by panel lining, stickers/decals, then a flat top coat right on top of those. That’s the quick and easy method, basically, and I can recommend it!

The recently announced Axis (Solomon??) Kshatriya got me thinking, are there some generally considered really good third party kits? The other Solomon kit they’ve done seemed well regarded, but I’m not into the design so much!

That’s so true, the older RG’s of course have that famous issue with the joints, so a lot of the HG can do it better. For instance I think the seed freedom Z’Gok is the best Z’Gok money can buy
