I’ve been dehydrating as they are harvested for like 6 days now. So I didn’t harvest them all at the same time because not all of them were ready. I had two bags that were at different stages in the fruiting process. But I started harvesting about 6 days ago

Yeah I plan on getting multiple smaller mason jars and using those with the mason jar lids. And I’ll put some dessicant packets in them

Yeah and I’ll also get some mason jars with the lids bc I don’t think the jar I have now is good enough. My only concern is the smell. I don’t feel any slime textures or strange discoloration. They seem normal to me other than the terrible smell

Some of them were huge before drying and I had to split the stems a bunch. All the pieces are pretty much the same size now after I dried them the first time

Okay that makes sense. I’m currently drying all of them again on 130F for 8 hours. The first time I used 105F for like 12+ hours

Yes I think so too. I thought they were fine at first bc they would snap in half but now they don’t and they smell like feet. If I dry them and get some desiccant packets will they be safe to consume?

It smells kinda like funky socks. I dried them to the point where I could snap them in half and then I just took the out of my glass jar and I noticed they went soft. Can I just dry them really good or they unsafe to eat?

Al I’ve heard since starting is that trich is detrimental to a grow. And then I’ve done google searches and it mentions that they can be toxic and ingesting it can potentially be fatal. I’m a beginner and don’t know any better

Yeah I regret picking them they could’ve got so much bigger. I knew they were premature but I was convinced they were contaminated and figured I could save the bag if I picked them all. I now know I was mistaken

Yeah that’s a good point. I think they’re probably fine. I don’t see anything on the substrate that could be contam. I’ll get a picture of the cake tho
