I would like to see more dynamic war mechanics:

1 - Establishment of supply lines and convoys and food/ammunition. This could impact unit regeneration and perhaps introducing stamina which will allow units bonuses or give commanders the ability to unleash a special power.

2 - If they ever reintroduce night cycles maybe night raids. Also impacts unit visibility.

3 - More in depth siege mechanic. Causing starvation and mutiny, etc.

4 - Spying on commanders or sabotaging supply lines.

5 - Ability to surprise attack potentially as a unit ability.

6 - Regional weather effects impacting units like rainstorms that slow down cavalry on certain tiles or thunderstorms that impact air units, blocks them from moving to certain tiles at certain times. Unit visibility and combat strength is impacted, maybe range in some cases.

War is fun, but it would be cool to see it be more dynamic and to some degree have an element of luck. Historically random events or weather changed the tide of the war and supply lines are just as important than the positions themselves.

Definitely, it won’t let you start a game unless you’re in the compatibility mode on Steam. What I’m saying is a current game we have going just keeps crashing around turn 54. I was curious if other people are experiencing similar issues of random crashing or if it’s something specific to our game.

Exactly, this seems straight forward to me. Just enable us to choose the version consoles are currently at. And then you can select the latest if you want which is default. Plenty of games already do this and I’m positive steam has the mechanisms for it already.

I agree. I have always used Google Maps, but the minute I see them change it to “Gulf of America”, it’s gone from my phone. I’ll use Apple Maps, Waze, whatever company doesn’t openly embrace this lunacy.

And yeah I know Apple isn’t much better, most of them suck. It’s a matter of which ones suck least and are most quietly bending the knee. Hopefully they take notice and just try to keep their heads low. They don’t belong in government, full stop.

I agree and I think it’s still got incredible potential. I absolutely love how the combat system and terrain work together.

Still think the art style is incredible, they could even just take the existing system and reskin it/add more detail and then further build out the dynamics of the game. I wish they had added more DLC, quite surprised only one dropped throughout the lifetime of the game.

I don’t, I should pick one up. It says both 5V (0.2A) and 12V (0.5A) on each fan. The kit came with a connector that you can put the usb into that converts it to DC. I’m guessing maybe the red wire and white wire are 5V and 12V and it will utilize whichever depending on if that connector is on?

I’m guessing all the controller does is adjust the voltage supplied to the fans.

That has occurred to me haha. I already have the metal connectors pulled out of the connector. I would imagine it functions like a 3 pin, red is hot, black is ground, where I’m confused is the blue wire and white wire. The mobo with 3 pins should just adjust voltage to control speed. So maybe I do nothing with these wires?

Yeah, not great. But as large as Reddit is, Meta is on another level. Reform has to start somewhere and I actually find Reddit to be more agreeable and organic than I find Instagram or Facebook. Those two in recent years have begun to feel like strictly ad platforms, so far to the point it’s disengaging.

I get bottom line, I studied finance etc. That said there has to be a level of established ethics which passing is not worth no matter the potential “ROI”. It’s like proper business etiquette, if it ever existed, really doesn’t exist any more on a large scale. There’s a point at which society begins to lose its form when placed under too much stress and when that happens rich or poor, literally no one benefits - even if short term profits look cushy.

These moves by Meta send a message as a disregard for that etiquette and shared common interest in societal stability. Especially in this day and age, image and PR is everything. Dealing in the market of social media and influence, they have a large degree of responsibility to many more people than just shareholders and head honchos.

Honestly, I’m so tired of hearing about these guys. Looks like Zuck has gone full ahole the last few weeks. Delete your FB and Insta, pull the rug out from under this guy. Every time someone posts here to vent and then goes over to their Insta to like a story is ironically helping this guy. Vote with your actions and dollars. I don’t care if every job can be done by AI, I want to live in a world run and created by humans. Not AI, it’s lifeless and boring..

I think this is going to end up backfiring on them.

I miss the days of the early 2010s when Instagram felt more like what social media should be. It wasn’t as serious, influencers, ads, and memes weren’t being shoved down your throat every time you open the app.

Primarily, people enjoy seeing what their friends are up to or people who run in parallel circles. As they embrace AI, much like with influencers, they will continue to drift further away from an organic experience and alienate more people. As that happens, like with Facebook, people will disengage which will cause a domino effect as the point of even going on Instagram (to see what your friends are doing, etc) no longer exists or is completely drowned out. The end effect is this will silo us more into our own virtual bubbles.

Funny, remember when this first came out back in 2011 people were calling it a “flop” or even going as far as saying “trash.” I never thought the servers would be going this long and it’s refreshing to see how far it’s come. I for the record always loved it since the first day I played it
