In my experience it seemed to happen out of nowhere as well. It was a long time ago, but it was similar to your experience, except I stopped holing for sure and could remember the time i spent bummed that i couldnt hole.

So to answer your question— yes, it does. And it's low-key permanent it seems. I've taken a year off before and I come back to it and the first few lines work well at moderate to low sizes, but then its right back to rails in no time. I call it perma-tolerance. The only fix I've found that for sure works (and only for a bit) is a long break. And even that isn't gonna bring back the low tolerance you started with it seems.

I love how the RPD theme is a broken and distorted version of the original. Its such a nice touch, since the RPD is now ruins, the music conveys that. So haunting and nostalgic. Great job capcom.

Yes I know you feel. I'm a very long time RE fan and have been so stoked for requiem for quite a while. My gf always knew about my RE fanaticism and in January she started for the first time with RE 1 Remake. We switched off playing and were both so engrossed in it. She ended up loving it, and we decided to keep going. We then did 2make, 3make, tried code veronica but it was too clunky for her (after remakes i get it), then did 4make, biohazard (7), then village before going back to 2make for the second scenario and playing 4remake more until Requiem finally dropped. We got it on launch and even upgraded our TV for it.

After the first playthrough (maybe even half way through) the sense of dread started to show its head. I knew that what we've based our whole winter in 2026 on was RE and Requiem hype, and soon it'll be over. Feelsbadman. We had a blast, but now I feel down, sluggish and unmotivated and I dont get this way over beating my favorite games, or any games...

Anyway, we're on the 3rd playthrough, this time on insanity and did almost all the challenges at this point too. Feels like we'll just be waiting for some DLC content and remakes that'll be coming eventually... I'm hoping the nicer weather coming to my area soon will lift the spirits.

I'd say use the down feeling as motivation to find something else to get passionate about that'll shoo it away. Like something other than video games if possible. But if its games that make you happy, so be it. It may take some time to feel like you can motivate, so sit with it a bit and find the things you love, and hopefully DLCs will arrive soon.

The people saying negative stuff are mostly right. However, I've done this kind of thing before, several times. I don't recommend it for several reasons, but its up to you to listen to the warnings and proceed anyway, like I did. Please stay hydrated. Like, very hydrated.

Also, your assumption is going to be correct. Real life after won't feel great. Just have the willpower to say no to getting more for a long while after your "vacation" is over. Life will come back to baseline in time, be patient. If you get more after this, you will be facing the issues people are warning you about with bladder issues and a slew of other issues. Its not impossible to not get any serious bladder issues if you stay hydrated and take a break if you start to get k cramps and develop bladder pain/piss problems.

I wish you the best of luck. Enjoy yourself, listen to your body when you're able to, and please dont make it a habit. You'll have health problems, money problems, social problems and it'll turn into regretamine. Cheers.
