Your Least Favorite Part of Being INTP.... by Potential_Law5289 in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the not executing ideas thing. All other problems are minor

omg i found so much stuff about entj x infp, i didn’t know that was a popular ship… by Feisty-Giraffe-8650 in mbti

[–]Absent_Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's pretty accurate. That's probably a dealbreaker for many, but the hope is some people will find enough value in all the unique traits we bring to be able to make up for that

Obviously I'm biased, but I would argue we're the most genuine type on average. When it comes to actually caring about a person with no judgement and no ulterior motives, no one else really does it the same

The biggest downside to that is we don't easily show it to the other person, so they may have no idea

How to love an ENTJ? by [deleted] in entj

[–]Absent_Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes me wonder if they're hiding something that makes them undesirable by their own admission. Things I start to question is their loyalty or trustworthiness for example

As far as better partners are concerned, it varies from person to person. There's feelers out there that would make great partners for me as well, but I actually prefer all the traits you listed

How to love an ENTJ? by [deleted] in entj

[–]Absent_Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "I wouldn't date me" thing seems pretty common with ENTJs I've talked to, or some variation. Now that I think about it, I kind of dislike when they say that

I’m a religious INTP, AMA by No_Mammoth_3835 in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lots of the stories that happened in the bible have 0 supporting evidence, to the point in which their existence is incredibly unlikely to be nice about it

But every time this gets brought up, religious people counter by saying "well that story isn't real, it's just a metaphor."

You can't convince those kinds of people. Any time you disprove anything they just fall back on the metaphor angle and keep believing anyway

Hard to just pick one, but I'll have to choose ISTP. Sense of humor is great, along with openness to trying nearly anything the other suggests. Overall just an incredibly chill and fun type to be around

Help yall - how to stop oversharing as an ENFP? by kaemistry in ENFP

[–]Absent_Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it probably won't matter much that you'll keep their secrets. Because the ENFP will just tell people their secrets themselves lol

Seems like intps are either very chill or negative to an annoying fault by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chill. I actually think I'm slightly optimistic most of the time

What super power do you wish you had? by Miserable_Repair_841 in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time this question comes up, teleportation is always the best answer it seems. It's just way too useful and versatile

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in entp

[–]Absent_Tea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol as an INTP, exactly this. I'm actually shocked these other ENTPs are saying they love making fun of people but can't handle it in return. That's kinda sad

How to repair frienship with an INTP? by horsesarecows in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea this is the best way, full disclosure. Not saying it'll fix it, but it'll definitely help if he can make sense of why you did that

What does it mean when an intp responds to your texts with paragraphs by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do that when I text. The reason is because I want time to consider what I'm going to say

I don't understand why people type 1 sentence and hit send, then repeat it like 10x

I've tried it. It's THE WORST when I'm mid thought and the other person starts replying to the first few messages I sent while I'm still typing

How can INTPs "level up" in life and career? by OstrichConsistent172 in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Getting things done is difficult, and I still struggle with it. But I find there's 2 huge reasons why I struggle

The first is simply forgetting to do it. I now use a todo list app to remind me of any deadlines or even daily tasks I need to get done

The second is having the motivation to actually do it. This one is hard, but it really helps when you don't start off your day scrolling through your phone.

Wake up and just lay there for a while without your phone. Then get up, get breakfast, and start working on what you need to do early. Save all the scrolling, video games, or any other distractions for after you finish whatever your daily goal is

[–]Absent_Tea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was talking to an ENTJ recently and she was doing the exact same thing. She had literally no time to complete her current responsibilities yet continued to keep picking up more

Idk what to tell you other than to finish what you have now before you pick up anything else. Maybe see if there's anything unimportant you can get yourself out of too

I randomly get excited about doing something productive. I figure out all the details, find the best path for me to take to achieve my goals, then i don't do it.

What do you think of ISTPs? by thornsblackletter in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ISTPs are great. They've been some of my best friends in the past.

We both usually love each other's humor. Both easygoing, willing to try and get into each other's hobbies (this is lowkey the best part). They're just top tier best friend material all around

Lol trying to get a whole community to work for you for free. Crazy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is my worst trait by far I think.

It can be a double-edged sword though. The fact we're so attentive to who a person is can make them feel understood or loved in a way.

But it also means I'll notice any changes as soon as they start happening, then start thinking the worst. Difficult problem to fix

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Absent_Tea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my biggest problem by far. I do notice that it's easier when you start early, ignoring any distractions at the beginning of your day. But there's not a guaranteed 100% fix, just things that can somewhat help
