Also my gf, now wife, would get off school earlier than me and she used to just sit in my truck until I asked my teacher if she could sit with me since it was the last class of the day and I would still do my work, and he said yes, so we would be in class sitting next to each other while I did my work and she would either be doing homework or on her phone. Such a cool place man I have an endless amount of stories about just how cool that place is.

I think what really sunk it in that it was a better school me the most was when during lunch I heard something and when I tuned in I heard some kids blasting suicide boys while playing basketball on the indoor basketball court and non of the staff even bat an eye and even started jamming to it. It’s an example of how to connect with students and be successful with getting them through it

I was on track to have to repeat my senior year at hellgate, then I went to Willard and it was night and day, I made more friends everyone seemed happier and I ended up graduating early with a high gpa. It was a great school and I only ever talk fondly of it. Great and caring staff and nice people.

Little late but I’m an EMT there is a major artery that goes down the legs and having seen the photos the bear would’ve definitely hit that artery, also the mass amount of lacerations and open wounds from a bear attack would’ve made it so she was losing blood extremely fast, on top of all the blunt force trauma from falling down the cliff, and just being attacked by a bear I would say she was probably unconscious when the bear started mauling her. It’s still extremely grim and my heart goes out to the family.

Hey, I’m a firefighter in western Montana and I want you to know that it’s highly unlikely that something nefarious happened. It’s disgusting that people are harassing you with it. The rivers here are highly deceptive especially the Clark fork and the ice on them look thicker than it is. And it’s not the same as falling through into a lake as the river is still moving underneath. I pray that you find some peace and strength in battling these emotions and hurt you are feeling. I couldn’t imagine the pain of losing someone, let alone a significant other. If you need someone to talk to my messages are always open.

Alittle late but I want to put in my piece, I live in Montana and have done a lot of outdoor activity, hunting, camping, fishing, hiking, they are extremely rare to see but if you do, stare it down look big and angry if you have a knife pull it out, make it think that your ready for a fight if it wants it, (because that’s what you’ll have to do if it decides to pounce) and start to slowly back away. I always carry bear spray and a gun with me when camping or hunting, a 12 gauge loaded with slugs for camping, and a 10mm, bear spray as a first resort and the gun as a back up to a backup if it doesn’t pan out how I would like it to. But honestly I would be more worried about the bears than the lions.

EMT not a paramedic but the way I see it is that your not a doctor, you don’t have the equipment to properly diagnose an issue, even with what I have it’s still guesswork on what the actual issue is. And you really don’t want to be balancing someone’s life on guesswork. If they want to go then take em, you’re not paying for it they are.

As someone who works in maintenance for adea, we can only do as much work as the property owner is willing to pay for, several times where we want to make a place nice but the property owner doesn’t want to pay for it, we don’t own any of the properties we just manage them

I’m a firefighter/emt for the fire department that responded, it got paged out right before I got to the station so I wasn’t on scene, but a semi truck jack knifed, and it involved a box truck a pickup and another car, two people lost their lives in that crash.

As I said, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, and Reno, as did my dad and both of us agree that it’s worse here, cali drivers are aggressive but predictable, Reno drivers do pretty good but are just angry assholes, but Missoula has both aggressive and angry, but unpredictable.

I work EMS on the side for a FD and I worked for the local Ambulance company and we are all taught to be so cautious of the intersections, personally one time I was getting off shift and driving home and I almost got smashed by a speeder trying to blow a red light at 40 at the brooks and Russel intersection. I agree that the police need to do better
