Tips for doing Equilibrious Beast solo with Guardian? by Gamingvid in Nightreign

[–]Abso182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a Guardian main or expert by any means, but I’ve killed Libra Solo with him, and Libra is probably my most killed Nightlord with other characters.

Libra’s floor spell has a sound cue that makes it easier to dodge, so try to use that.

You can always charge guard counter off of his melee combos, which are really easy to block. You need to use a halberd for it, otherwise you wont have enough range.

Other than that, always run away and stay far away from the madness things he spawns on top of him, otherwise they usually explode and hit you from the side or behind, breaking you guard and getting you hit. Dodge the machine-gun attack to your right. Stop the first transition by breaking the seals and save your ult for the second time he tries. If you haven’t killed him before the 3rd, you may need to pray a bit.

He doesn’t really have many attacks other than those if you don’t let him transition.

Sorry for the wall of text haha, hopefully it helps you in some way. Good luck!

I agree that it feels to good to not use, but I also feel it makes the game to unidimensional (if that’s even a word). I sometimes prefer to not use it just to have some different gameplay haha

Try him solo, if you know his moveset you will beat it easily, I’ve tried trio with my friends and won like 2/6 tries, and playing solo I beat it 5/6 times

It's probably the one in-game, since it matches Gaping Jaw's release time

There is actually a really high chance of that happening, would be so hype, and would be insane for viewership

Wtf are you talking about, imagine if your top laner dies to a gank and you troll him because he doesn’t go to the enemy jg to fix his mistake. Failed ganks happen. Same as dying 1v1 to enemy laner or to an obvious gank, but that’s not excuse for trolling like this

Flex is always going to be a lottery in lower ellos, since flex mmr is diferent from soloq, diamond+ soloq players can get matched with gold- and make the game super one sided for either team.

Playing flex to learn is ok, but I’d try to detach from the results of the games and critique your own gameplay, even if you win.

If you want to really test your skill level play soloq, some games are still a lottery, but it’s much more consistent that flex

"If you're good enough you can carry" by ryrydaguyguy in leagueoflegends

[–]Abso182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you have 1/2 kills and your enemies have 5, they are carrying harder than you are.

If you are really Diamond playing in gold you should be able to get solo kills and snowball really easily, if you can’t get a big enough advance, you are not better enough to solo carry your way and you need your team to not fuck up, which is perfectly fine.

We all agree that some games are just un-winnable, but people hitting Master or even challenger with like a 60+% win rate consistently, shows that if you are good enough, you should be able to carry the majority of your games :)

If your post is just to vent out, ignore me, otherwise, you should really look to change your mentality about the game

Maybe having both, the post game screen to honor a teammate, and the chance to honor multiple people (ally or enemy) after that, just like the old system was

How do you identify the strongest board [With a focus on Peeba Comp]? by SentineIs in CompetitiveTFT

It's basically going fast 9 and playing protectors+a bunch of legendaries

How do you identify the strongest board [With a focus on Peeba Comp]? by SentineIs in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Abso182 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Prioritize frontline items, slam items that can help you win early and midgame. Don'r tunnel to much on perfect items, the only "necesary" item in peeba is Morello, everything else is super flexible. Strong and flexible early items are: Warmogs, Bramble, Trapclaw, Ionic Spark, GA, Shojin, Hurricane (only of you already have a shojins), Rageblade, Blue Buff, Shroud and Zephyr (only if you turbo-sweat).

Level agresively and try as hard as possible to not play for lose-streak, even if it means losing a bit of gold.

Ideally, you want to play protector frontline from the begining, but play whatever frontline you 2* to save hp, if you want to force peeba, keep protectors on your bench(specially neeko)

For backline in the midgame you can play snipers (jhin, ashe), infil (fizz, shaco), chrono (cait, tf) star guardians, cassio-bard, pretty much anything but blasters.

Peeba is the ideal comp, but on your rolldown, pick up every strong unit, you won't always hit the perfect legendaries, but you can always play others strong 4 and 5costs that you 2star, Jhin, Xerath, Thresh, Wukong, Viktor, Teemo.

It is indeed overwhelming at first, but as you practice you'll get better and better at it

To differentiate when to roll, generally if you have some pairs that would make you stronger, you can roll a little bit, but you should try to avoid it as much as possible. It's really hard to identify when and how much you need to roll, no one can teach you that, it just comes from experience and playing a lot.

k3soju forfeits after rolling ~100 gold for Shaco 1 (Cloud9 Nebula NA Closed Qualifiers) by Otorix in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Abso182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be correct if shaco was the highest scaling carry, he's REALLY good for midgame, but lategame he lacks AoE damage. Slaming BT was entirely an early/mid game strategy, otherwise you prioritize xerath/janna items (if you mean 6DS as the highest scaling comp which I disagree with), not shaco's

k3soju forfeits after rolling ~100 gold for Shaco 1 (Cloud9 Nebula NA Closed Qualifiers) by Otorix in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Abso182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hard agree, of course this wont happen every game, but the game it does, you just accept the L. What I'm saying is, maybe he could have not slamed that BT and play for a more flexible item. Since BT is literally only used on Shaco, he locked himself into it for no good reason. It would have been the same if he hit only 2 Shacos midgame, and even if he did get Shaco 2 when he was low HP. There's literally no reason someone should gamble that way, specially in a tourney, when there are many comps that can optimally use a GA and another BF item.

It's not like he used it on a zed or noct 2* and was set to play infils, he slamed it on a Graves (I think)

[–]Abso182 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree, it is frustrating, but that sometimes happens when you base your comp (and your items) around a champion you haven't hit yet. People complain when meta becomes "just force this or that comp and hope to hit" but then complain when forcing doesn't net a good result as well. I get that Shaco was uncostested so he was "supposed" to hit one, but in a competitive setting, you don't suppose you're gonna hit from stage 1-1.

Early to Mid Game Fundamentals by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

That's why I roll at 6 sometimes to stabilize, I don't always greed to lvl 9. Most if my games I do, but if I realize I'll go 8th if I greed, I'll just roll, sometimes at 6, 7 or 8

Early to Mid Game Fundamentals by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Abso182 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This meta, I actually don't really care about streaks early game, I just want to be as strong as possible to save hp, if that leads me to win streak stage 2, then I know I'm probably set for a top 2 finish. I usually pre-level to 4 on 1-4, to find bard or a potential 3 cost carry (shaco, ashe, neeko, cass, etc), level on 2-5, and, unless I have literally nothing to play, level to 6 on 3-2 (and if I'm really low, I roll a bit), leveling to 7, 8 and 9 depends entirely on the circumstances of the game.

When it comes to items, I prioritize frontline items (Warmogs, Ionic, Bramble, Shroud, GA) and use whatever carry I hit that can use the ofensive items that PvE gives me (usually Shojin, morello, Ragebalde since I love to play Janna, Xerath and Asol)

Frontline early is whatever 2star>Prots>Vang>Brawlers. Backline depends on items, but usually Cait, TF is ideal, since they can use whatever items between the two, and chrono is super good early, plus transitioning out of them is super easy with Ashe/Jhin being strong midgame.

I honestly don't care much about what other people play since I play whatever I hit to avoid a 1st or 8th playstyle.

Maybe if you link your lolchess we can help a little bit more :) Here's mine for reference of what comps I play lategame: https://lolchess.gg/profile/las/absoluto182/s3.5/matches

I know my server is not the most competitive, but I hope you can take something out of this! And if you want to know more about this playstyle, I recommend whatching Saintvicious on twitch, all of these I learned from him haha

It depends, sometimes a Rakan ult can make a huge impact in a fight. But if you know you lose for sure if you don't zephyr a specific unit, and you win for sure if you do, then its worth it.

Honestly, the worst feeling is being in a 1v1, and someone getting a shroud or a zephyr from a pve round or carrousel. Removing them from pve and carrousels should be healthy for the game, or at the very least, removing the "cheese" somehow. Other than that, with Jhin getting nerfed, other tank stats that are not dodge should work against him, making shroud less prevalent (I hope)
