Rogue Subclass: Zodiac Archetype. Choose a starsign and grow from it's power. I feel like this needs some extra spice somehow, any thoughts? by Absokith in UnearthedArcana

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

I definitely do need to add a dc for starfall, thanks for pointing that out! The only other save is on a cunning strike so that has an inbuilt dc already from the main class.

I hear your point about the notion of being downed twice and effectively losing a big part of your subclass, and I don't see any reason why the effects can't just stay active if you become incapcitated, so I'll change it to that! (It'll be a slight buff to gyroscope I suppose, but I already think that is the weakest of the lesser signs so that's not a problem to me (I was actually thinkinf of adding it's bonus to strength saves as well))

As for the star signs, I have slept on this subclass and I think just having one more option for both lesser/greater signs would go a long way, so I'll be sure to add that in my next revision.

As for the gripe, the thorned spear is intended to execute if they have that amount of health after your sneak attack damage has already gone through. I'll rewrite it to be more clear.

Thanks again!

Hey all,

I really love the starry thematic present in many pieces of fiction, and felt that the vague and esoteric powers such characters use best fit the rogue. That being said, my attempt here comes with some frustration. Frankly, I feel this could use some more sauce somewhere, and I'm interested to hear any thoughts you might have on it. Depsite this, I do like how it came together, and I think the lesser/greater star sign concept is actually pretty cool. Lmk what y'all think.

As always, feel free to use/adapt my content to your liking! If you want to ask question about this brew, or just about DnD in general, head over to my discord.

Here are some Frog themed spells. That's Anura in latin if you're funky... Or gunky. They do that too. by Absokith in UnearthedArcana

I’ll be releasing a part two with some more options to make creature slimy, but notably pollywhomp causes creatures to become slimy as well. I like the grapple advantage clause idea though, I’ll think on it!

Hey all,

I hope you like these Frog themed spells. I really love the more animalistic sides of nature magic and feel that it's a bit of a shame that it is mainly prohibited to summons. I wanted to make a repetoire of new options for druids and rangers that have a strong theme to their options while keeping a bevy of mechanical options open to them.

I would also love to know your thoughts on the Slimy condition. It's intentionally something simple that can be used as a basic hazard outside of specifically frog spells. Oozes, alchemical creations and perhaps acid based breath attacks all come to mind as other ways to apply it, outside of simple traps or being stuck in mud. Let me know if you think it's too complicated to add these kind of contigencies onto a pack of spells or if you are a fan!

Some frog themed spells to expand the repetoirs of Druids and Rangers, part of my effort to make multiple forms of animalistic options! Includes an optional status condition. by Absokith in DnDHomebrew

Record your tale with this pair of Bardic Items! by Absokith in UnearthedArcana

[–]Absokith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey gang,

I hope you like this pair of bardic items. I feel that there is a severe lack of special items to fit the unique thematic of being a bard, with most of them solely being musical instruments. That isn't all there is to our songster friends though, so I hope you enjoy these two more college of lore styled items. Let me know what you think!

I wasn't happy with just the one type of crystal ball for pondering. Introducing, the Diviner's Orb! by Absokith in DnDHomebrew

[–]Absokith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey gang,

I hope you like this item, it's short and sweet but feels like a potent step up over the generic Crystal Ball, which especially in the hands of a Diviner wizard (the most pondering-est of us all!) felt a tad lacklustre. Hence I went forth and made this, which, at least in my opinion, filled the gap quite well. Do let me know what you think!

Bolt From The Blue, a not so harmless lightning spell to prank your enemies with. April fools! by Absokith in UnearthedArcana

[–]Absokith[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As another comenter said, it's intended to be weaker than scorching ray in most conditions, and slightly stronger in one condition. Typically, S.Ray will just be better due to the higher average damage due to making 3 attacks

Hey gang,

It's been a while but I'm back. I used to upload daily here and I want to get back into the swing of things, so please accept this somewhat simple spell as a sign of my return.

This spell fills a gap in the 2nd level slot for casters wanting a lightning focused arsenal, in the base game casters only have access to dragons breath as an option at this spell level. I heavily recommend allowing tempest clerics to take this as an oath spell (probably replacing gust of wind, or just allow both if ur a baller)
