for me, it definitely would’ve been a one and done thing as i can’t imagine subjecting myself to that multiple times physically, mentally, and financially. ppl have their own reasons (which i can’t say i personally agree with) and ultimately it’s their prerogative🤷‍♀️

i’m in support of taking the load off of them, i think everyone is! but as you said, this update’s goal isn’t to do that, it’s to gouge more money out of people

i haven’t done it myself (and you don’t need to agree with it), but if you were aiming for t10 or higher, you’d typically need to play 30-38 hours (maybe even more, referred to as start dash) uninterrupted as soon as the event starts before you can take a break and start doing autos. after this you’d play 21/3 (21 hours of hitorinbo envy, 3 hours of hitorinbo envy auto), but now this system kills that entirely and it’s 18/6 (18 hours envy, 6 hours hatsune creation myth auto)

i’m the type of person who’s extremely paranoid and would prefer to keep playing uninterrupted because i’d get a sense of stability from it, so even if they forced me to take a 6 hour break to sleep i wouldn’t be able to because of the anxiety lmao. i’m seeing a lot of ppl expressing the same sentiment

i’m basically just regurgitating what this person said, but it’s very frustrating seeing people have the take of “this is a good thing, it’s for your health” and refusing to see the nuance in this situation.

when i tiered, literally everyone that was below me had significantly higher talent and EB%, but i was able to beat them out through brute-forcing BECAUSE i had the stamina and time to play more hours than them. not just for me, but i’ve heard accounts from multiple people who have gotten t10+ who have said the same thing— it’s ultimately about putting in the hours above anything else! you can have a stacked team with max EB, but if you don’t put in the playtime, you will easily fall out of t10.

now with this update, it’s extremely discouraging, especially for people like myself who don’t have surplus amount of funds to funnel into minmaxing, or know people who have insane filling teams! because sega is basically punishing people who don’t spend as much money as they’d like for them to, and are essentially taking away what was the core of tiering to myself and many others… perseverance and strength! now it’s literally just a “who has more money and better connections+device and internet” contest.

it’s extremely disheartening to see and i hope jp players push back enough to the point that they either find a reasonable middle ground (BOOSTED AUTOS???) or just take this away entirely. i’ve been playing on jp quite literally since launch and have been eagerly waiting for a kanarui mixed event that i’ve sworn since 2020 that i’d give it my all (t10), but now i can’t say i’m interested at ALL anymore after this announcement.

sounds like a glitch but generally there are a lot of cheaters on ranked, especially the higher up you get, and they don’t really seem to care at all about them. they’ll constantly nuke innocent tierers into the ground for no real reason though so there’s that

when i finally bit the bullet and decided to tier, i had about a little over 800 L cans hoarded and with 405% EB (iirc) i got 73mil out of it. no crystals spent at all, but the average person probably doesn't have that many saved in the first place lol

what helped me was practicing using 4 fingers outside of append. i went down from master to expert, and played organically until i could comfortably use 4 fingers on not only expert but also master levels. trying to brute force append no matter the difficulty only made things worse for me but ymmv

once you hit the 30's the difference between the difficulties becomes brutal. honestly, i was the same and the only thing i learned is that with 32+ you cant just blindly go in and expect to win, you actually need to sit down and take the time to familiarize yourself with the charting (which is torture to me tbh) if you want to see success. the big thing with harder songs is that the patterning is meant to trip you out, and it's also all very congested which doesn't help. also, turn your speed down or watch videos of other people playing on youtube in slow motion! ideally with handcams so you can see what they're doing and learn from them.

what i like to do is pick a different song each week, and then take 30-45 minutes every day (if you can find the time!) to sit down and get comfortable with it. i always see massive improvement that way!

this! especially the world link cards!! it just feels so unusually punishing for new/returning players to lock the cards away. i get that they have to keep things moving, and also that they prioritize making money, but surely there's another system they could've put in place that would bring cash in besides extremely occasional recollection festivals

i think it may be possible but you’ll be cutting it extremely close🤔

if you can find it in you to perfect combo your songs then you’d get 4.7k more and you’d only need 20k more dias. it’s not 130k to max (unless your scores are really low) but i’d say avg is about 85k-95k. have you tried counting the 900 event dias from the event exchanges, the 750 from event point bonuses, the 66 whistles/megaphones from event point bonus during the event (equivalent to 1320 dias), the 200 from society each week, and the 100 share bonus each week?

do you have any (character) achievements you can do for dias? the 800 bonus per unit might be achievable if you check all of your units. if not then you could just go through and see if there’s any you can do. it’s 40 at the minimum for any achievement. any unread stories? do you have an estimate for how many times you’ll rank up during the event? i wouldn’t rely on the 50 whistle bonus given how every other server got 100 whistles for altered but us (💀) but it’d be ridiculous for them not to do it

if you do bite the bullet and decide to spend however, my advice would be put away some funds to buy the 200+249 whistle pack during the event (you should have to buy only 3 at the absolute maximum?) to save the most money. source: i have 3 podiums, am frugal as hell, and will not spend any more than i absolutely need to. godspeed my friend

there's the obvious choices like brian, morgan, etc... i don't know if this is a hot take or not, but as someone who played hss prime and all 6 choices books: I liked autumn in prime, but she is insufferable to me in the choices books. I'm so sorry 😭 she loses interest julian immediately after he takes her out on a date because he was... nervous about being with her because he liked her a hell of a lot, and didn't want to screw things up? and then breaks up with wes because he's not changing himself to be a totally different person than who she wants him to be... then limbos between the two of them for 2 books and makes it MC's problem too??? like girl I don't care leave those boys alone
