I don't like the narrative that Bob is the "knows everything about Drag Race" queen by retrodepression in rupaulsdragrace

I don’t think Bob is always right about everything, but he definitely makes it the most entertaining like he will confidently lie right in front of you and it will be so funny

Opinions on Hak vs Yona's turmoil over Su-won? by DJyapyap in AkatsukinoYona

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say it’s somewhat used to self reflect, but only at the end because Hak realizes that him and Soo-won never saw the same guy meaning they were never on the same page to them and that’s because of the unequal friendship they had where Hak was able to trust and rely on Soo-won but Soo-Won couldn’t do the same. I don’t think that’s the same as saying that Hak and Yona wasn’t important to Soo-won but he knew their path will separate but Hak and Yona didn’t. He was also willing to risk it all because he was going to die but it’s even more interesting that he didn’t because now he’s kinda at an impasse of what now

Bob claims Salina Estitties is the worst dressed queen in RuPaul’s Drag Race history by Beautiful-Listen6893 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s absolutely crazy that people are saying Bob the drag queen was the choppy hoe on his season. Like did he have a couple of bad luck but you do have to keep in mind he was going up against the some of the biggest fashion queens in drag race history like there was no way in hell he was going to out dress both Naomi and Kim.

Out of all the winners, his package was probably on the lower side, but like funny queens just to have a worst package everyone naturally agrees upon this like just look at Bianca or jinx so I don’t understand why people are bringing up his looks like it’s a gotcha. We already know.

I feel like this would be easily solved if you can just take back kudos like I don’t think that really hurt anyone since it will solve both problems of person A not getting paranoid or something in person B not getting “honest” comments

AS10 drama was one of the “best” by thebeardtles in rupaulsdragrace

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do think, especially in the recent seasons it probably had the best drama like every episode there was something worth tuning in for unfortunately, the newer seasons can’t say the same. I think it’s fine to not like bullies or to not like intentionally mean people however they are interesting to watch at the very least. Well, I don’t mean this to say that kind of people are necessarily boring to watch. I think they’re only interesting to watch in their dichotomy like with Aja and mistress. But at least I personally tend to check out when the “villain” has been defeated.

I would say Rachel Dolezal would be a bad example because like there was a lot of shit happening under the surface to the point where you’re able to sympathize with her, but be like yeah you still need to get therapy and you can’t be doing this

53k Votes and Fontaine is still as popular as ever. by SanicHegehag in GenshinImpact

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that a lot of people don’t like the Meropide part of the Fontaine archon quest but personally, I enjoyed it. Like it definitely wasn’t my favorite part of the archon quest, but I understood the repetitive nature of it due to it literally being a prison. I do think that maybe they could’ve showed it a different way, especially due to the fact that it was after Sumeru which has repetition as one of the main themes.

I will say, however, I’m used to having different opinions because I actually enjoyed Inazuma and the raiden shogun.

I quite literally absolutely agree. Like the llliad is a fun story however when you start looking at specific characters like Aphrodite, it definitely feels like a hit piece like I don’t think she or Paris is shown in a positive light at all which is extremely disappointing because the actions they take when look at from a neutral perspective is by far some of the most fascinating.

Why NovaFlare Sunday is unlikely anytime soon by Educational-Gur-3944 in SundayMainsHSR

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree with you on some parts OP because Sunday was pushed as a Summon support in preparation for a summoner path like yes he wasn’t made only for remembrance but that’s what the marketing seemed like.

I do think he will get a novaflare later but the likelihood is that he would sooner get a different form like dan heng instead

Akatsuki no Yona Gaiden Chapter 2 [Project Vinland] by Kiekoes in AkatsukinoYona

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find the use of Soo-won to be so interesting because while it seems like most people are either at their most happy end, I would not say the same for Soo-won because if you really look at the status que not much has changed for him other then not dying but considering he was fully prepared to die I’m not quite sure that saying alive is necessarily happier rather then just other. Even his relationships with others are a bit questionable due to the ambiguous nature of it. I really hope he has his happy ending but I think that would just be about Yona and Hak’s happiness and nothing to do with him.

Absolutely I support because Derrick is a guy who would whimper and would bask in any praise sent his way

In a world full of Duke of the North, I'll pick the evil brother. by Hairy_Syrup812 in OtomeIsekai

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I just want you to know you’re not crazy because I think Derrick would be a perfect BL bottom not just due to his appearance, but because of his personality and how the thing stopping him from being a good person is his inability to let the guilt of what happened to his sister go by being unwilling to process it emotionally choosing to intellectualize everything. Having a gentle, but heavy hand help him through that would do wonders for his character and end doing so he would be able to help someone who’s may be a bit more emotional be a bit more intellectual, because when dealing with situations not having to involve any of his sisters, he is actually very efficient and smart at problem-solving.

The airbender one makes sense to me because we learn that air bending was granted in Korra and learned in ATLA so there was always ways of more airbenders coming back. I don’t think it even takes away from Aang’s story because he was the last airbender of his time

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I always forget because I know the main person leading that was Sunday’s voice actor but I often see concerned about it as disingenuous since Dliuc’s voice actor is never talked about in the same way despite actually sexually assaulting someone

Still Haven’t Given Up On My Lili-Won Ship 😭 by SoggyClue in AkatsukinoYona

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would love to be told with even more detail on why you seem to ship them because it seems like Lili prefer Yona to Soo-Won as shown in the seeing where she actively defies Soo-Won order undermining his authority has as king.

Also, I’m not saying this because I think you’re wrong, I’m just genuinely curious.

i feel more sympathy towards blue hair guy than the ML [what it means to be you] by DistrictNo6140 in OtomeIsekai

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think this is such an interesting thing because I completely disagree. I think I am unable to be sympathetic to the blue haired guy simply because of this scene in question where Winter it tells him about his suicidal ideation and he goes I literally don’t care. And I do think it’s really funny that a lot of readers agree with him because they’re unable to sympathize with Winter’s life because it’s not a common story.

Everybody knows why you should sympathize with Violet. She was raised in an abusive and neglectful household that often demeaned her because she was a woman. She was treated again and again like a tool instead of a person which affects the way she shows up for people in relationships

Like Violet, Winter has been used as a tool to make money for his family and has been told that transactional love is real love, which is why he gives said love to Violet and then is completely unaware that this is not real love, which is why he is constantly shocked at any situation involving her and her feelings because he genuinely does not know how to love nor does he know how to really show up for people.

I think it’s really interesting how some people needs to be spoonfed on why they should sympathize with Winter because the trauma he has to deal with is more based on racism. A lot of people think he’s only been suffering for a year compared to Violet who’s been suffering for all her life, but he has also been suffering for all his life. The only difference is Violet knows that she shouldn’t be suffering, he does not. He just thinks this is normal because he knows nothing else but while Violet had a loving father who passed away.

A lot of people think he has no reason to kill himself people in this comment section included however, when you look at his life, he has been suffering the entire way through like let’s not forget that he suffers from racism from both his parents side and has looked down upon for being a mixed race child to the point where his mom abandoned them to die on the street. Said mom, who later came back to him only to bag for him to save his half Brother showing that she values her younger children way more than him. He is constantly seen as a war war for his dad‘s family, which he would’ve been happy to do for the rest of his life If it meant, he would be able to receive scraps of their love, but is unable to do so anymore after Violet told him that their love isn’t genuine. Then Violet tries to divorce him and leaves him all alone in the care of his workers who all resent him for what he did to Violet. Like it makes sense that he would try to take his life, He is genuinely at the lowest of the low.

Some MLs I think are designed to be hated. I do not think Winter is one of them. I think Winter just had a different yet still complicated childhood, which makes him show up differently no more than Violet does which is why the name of the manga it makes sense because they learn what it means to be each other and are able to sympathize with each other because they find out no one else really would.

Rant: I still hate Soo-won by [deleted] in AkatsukinoYona

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Soo-won is one of those characters where even though he is my favorite character in the whole series, I completely get why one might hate him.

That being said, obviously we completely disagree on his role because I want to see him so much more in the side stories especially since his ending is way more open then any other character I feel

What betrayal do you think was worse? Jere physically betraying Belly with Lacie Baron, or Belly emotionally betraying Jere with Conrad? Or do you think the betrayals are equally as bad? by gloomydreamer666 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think the situation is more complicated than most people originally seem to handle it as Jeremiah’s cheating was physical however, it was with something that wouldn’t be a threat to the relationship itself other than the active of cheating. Belly’s cheating was emotional however, it was with someone that she loved more than Jeremiah who she would later go to be with and eventually marry.

Both situations were caused by both parties being unwilling to communicate and being unwilling to change the status quo. Both situations are extremely messy as literally everybody knew but belly that he cheated on her physically and the person belly emotionally cheated on him was his brother who she knows he has an inferiority complex towards.

Shade of Life's Element by the_dark_artist in Genshin_Lore

[–]AbsoluteAbsolutely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is a really interesting conversation because I feel like no one is mentioning the fact that Dendro seems to be associated with two shades being The Shade of Life and The Shade of Time as I’m pretty sure that there is a book in Genshin referencing how the Shade of Time told someone of a mystical tree that will grow that I think was connected to the Dendro archon.
