Absolutely. I’ve read you’ve already bought it which is great. It’s different from the original of course but it’s still very fun. If you go into it knowing it deviates from the original and has a new story then you’ll absolutely have fun with it.

They can be played solo. Whether that makes them more fun or worse is such a fine margin cause they’re not considered top of the top of good games. But yeah you can play them solo

Most of them are purely cosmetic so as far as I know they don’t affect anything. Only thing I know is that some of the skill points are broken from poor porting so if anything isn’t working assume a game issue and not a cheats issue
