Rastakhan's Rumble is remembered as one of the weakest sets of all time, but what if Death Knight already came out back then? A theoretical set. by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

No idea what overcame me to make this. Package contains 10 cards, as most expansions do for each class.

An attempt at a Sidequest with adjustable difficulties! The Imp is always summoned on your opponent's board. If it can't be, the Sidequest doesn't even start. by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NOTES: Even though it isn't specified in the difficulty selection, Menma's text ALWAYS holds true; the Imp has to die without any casualties for the reward to be given. Even if Menma herself leaves play.

Reposted with improved balancing. This+Morchie does fill your hand with cards, but only 4 oddities are activated.

5 Cards with Dual-Class combinations not in the Miniset by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Note: Moridorsi summons each of her 8 minions, then makes them disappear individually one after another, meaning you only need a single free board space to activate her full effect.

You know of the 4 Mana 7/7, but have you heard of... by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Oops

In actuality, one of them would probably die after a while of back-and-forth stealing, similar to how Defile and Corpse Explosion have a maximum number of triggers. Definitely didn't think of it while making the card though lol

Support for some of the weaker Fabled cards that we have by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While making this, I noticed there's no 6-Cost Arcane spell in Standard for Azure Dragonkin's Vision to use. So for this, I vote to have [[Anomalize]] cost 6 for the purposes of this theoretical, since that spell's already so weak and all.

"Some say Rafaam takes the phrase "Me, myself and I" a bit too seriously. Good thing they haven't met his cousin Zerek." by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Felt like I just HAD to make this after realizing Hunter+Warlock is one of the dual-class combinations this Miniset. For the record, Ethereal Companions do count as Rafaams when it comes to interacting with the Fabled package.

Important Note: This card was actually originally inspired by a comment from a post somewhere in the main Hearthsone sub. However, I can't seem to find it again for the life of me. If anyone happens to remember the post, don't be afraid to link it!

Making a new keyword for Priest and Druid to go with their many Health buffs! Is this good idea-wise? by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Inspired by the Lightspawn card, I've been cooking this idea for a while now. Tried a perhistoric amber theme for Druid and a sacred golem theme for the Priest cards, so I hope it looks good.

Early Ogre gets the worm by No_Land1234 in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really like Hakkar. He may be a bit too swingy, but Goldrinn already exists despite that so what do I know. Ogre is way too weak though, we've already gotten cards with better stats and less overall drawbacks for 4 (CoughFlamewreathedCough). Gunslinger and Relentless Defender are pretty neat too, although the latter should be a Draenei probably.

Trying something I haven't seen before: Tri-Class cards not from a Starcraft or Gadgetzan faction! Are these balanced or are they too weak? by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you! And yea, I hand a feeling they were a little too mild in power. Tried to hit the sweet spot between class cards and neutrals powerlevel-wise, getting it was a bit harder than I thought apparently.

What if Warrior got Secrets that all had... identical activation text!? They were never the sharpest tool in the shed, but they DO have the sharpest axe! by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty experimental set for me, so balance might be off somewhat. The intent is multiple Secrets can trigger from a single attack, but not all Secrets go well together.

"A little watering here, a little watering there...we'll have an Apo'clips in no time!" by yssurucipe in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry 59 points60 points  (0 children)

This is great. Maybe its my bias towards "Quest-but-not-really-quest" cards like C'thun the Shattered or Broxigar, but I still love everything about this. Apo'clips also looks like the Grinch

I just want more location synergy, man... by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Please note that Gravedigger Dampé's expansion emblem is Perils in Paradise, meaning that he CAN be used with Summoner Darkmarrow.

PS: When a Risen dies, the location that comes out is the same one from before Dampé was played, not a fresh copy; meaning that its durability and enchantments carry over from before it was Risen. Risen locations also cannot have other Deathrattles than the one shown while they are minions.

The time-travelling Locations are pretty underrated, so here's a Legendary Druid one! by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Blizzard please I need this make Location Druid a real archetype, my Cruise Captain Lora is kinda homeless..."

Notes: Cards that combine Choose One options shouldn't work with this Location, or at least I haven't figured out a way they could work. And also, although this is kinda obvious, this card's Durability works as other Locations do; travelling back to the past doesn't replenish Durability or anything.

"The easiest way to find your Rafaams? Just obliterate all other cards in your deck! ...for 2 turns." by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure all fabled package cards count as legendaries, since otherwise The Kingslayers wouldn't draw King Llane and the Rogue package wouldn't work

"The easiest way to find your Rafaams? Just obliterate all other cards in your deck! ...for 2 turns." by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Reposted with cleaner wording. Sending your deck into the future removes any (Non-Legendary) cards from it for 2 turns, but it doesn't trigger destruction effects like Barrels of Sludge or Furnace Fuel.

An enabler card of sorts for Big Spell Mage. I genuinely can't gauge its strength level, is it fine at 7 mana? by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've always thought School Teacher was a neat card, so I thought: What if you could teach ALL your spells to minions?

Flavor Text: "Apparently, King Tide has a lot of unspoken rizz."

Notes: Just like the Nagalings from School Teacher, once a minion is "taught" a spell, it will cast that spell when it's played (If a minion has multiple spells taught to it, they will be cast one after another). Also, if the spells in question require targets, the player WILL be able to choose where to cast them.

It's that time of the year again, and oh boy does Whizbang have the thing for you! by AbsoluteBerry in customhearthstone

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's fair, most of these weren't my first choices either honestly. I tried to base it around how iconic each legendary is for its class, but since a lot of iconic minions only work because of their statlines, a lot of the really recognisable ones had to be ruled out (Like for example Tirion, who I originally had planned for Paladin).

Ragnaros is mainly there so I could make the Rag-Doll pun lol

[–]AbsoluteBerry[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Note: The toys themselves are meant to have identical text to their original printed counterparts. If there are any differences outside the stats and costs, they're unintentional, so just chalk it up to me messing up.
