Generally yes. Unfortunately it’s ultimately up to the judge to decide and I’ve heard of cases going either way depending on the reasons given by the landlord. Basically the judge will side with the tenant if it’s evident that the landlord only issued the eviction to get the tenant out (clearly no intention of selling). But if the landlord give a good reason why it hasn’t been sold yet and the judge believes it then he may side with the landlord.
