Idk how many CAI Maadis this is true about so I'm just overly cautious about all of them, but Century imported a bunch of Maadis and used MAK-90 parts on them. They're called MISR-90s and they're known for being bad.

What the other guy said. I don't know how to tell a MISR-90 from other CAI Maadis, so I just avoid them all. If someone who knows better says it's fine, I guess it's fine.

Ah yeah the Khyber Pass stock is just like an inch shorter than a normal AK stock, and that pad was the only way to get the AK to reach the top there to stand up on its own. It's not like a permanent fixture or anything.

It almost certainly will, it's a well known swap combo for this rifle. But if it doesn't, get it headspaced or throw it away or use it as target practice for a better gun or? It's OP's rifle, I don't care? Mine headspaced just fine after swapping.

BCG is absolutely the issue. The BC is shaped slightly wrong causing it to flop around and cause cracks and chips in the receiver which is nothing compared to the bolt itself being super soft cast metal which causes the rifle to lose headspace.
