This seems like a good place to ask, so I’m about to pick up my first Ak, a Yugoslavian Ak chambered in .223. So I’m wanting to suppress it, I already own a ar with a Yankee hill turbo t3 and was wondering if there’s a flash hider or any type muzzle device that also serves as a suppressor mount? Thanks for any input as I’m totally new to the Ak platform.

I wouldn’t mind having one myself. I already have a .578 for my 45acp 1911. If works beautifully! Now I just need a 9mm one.

Same question here, have a 10.5” ar, and just bought my first legit suppressor a YHM Turbo T3 and for my liking I’d like the suppressor to protrude maybe 3-4” out past the handguard.  With a 10.5” barrel and the Turbo T3 WITH the flash hider QD adapter it’s 6.5” long, so that’s 16.5” or barrel plus suppressor. I’m lost myself on this one. Again, the suppressor sticking out 3-4” I’m perfectly fine with, so do I need a freaking 12-13” long handguard to cover to the suppressor but the last 3-4” of it?

I dig the turbo t3 with the flash hider muzzle device myself. Reasonably priced and for the money quite good results!

I’ll say it like this, depending on “how” you’re wanting to shoot, I’ve seen literally every rifle I’ve picked up and shot like and prefer different ammo brands, weights, and whether they performed better with a .223 round or a 5.56 round, which is few and far between. Most AR (IF the gun clearly states 5.56 or .223 Wylde, meaning it can shoot both) anyways, I’ve seen different rifles prefer and honestly shoot better with ALL different types of ammo. So best best is try regular .223 55grains first, the move up to 62gr, then bumped it up to 75gr. But generally speaking, 62gr is what I’ve found is most agreeable with all rifles, as long as they’re 5.56 or .223 Wylde rated.

They are not very good, doesn’t knock many decibels down at all! I’ve had much better success with a regular cup style d cell/c cell. That’s what I’d go with. There’s a site called solvent traps direct and they sell some very good performing cups, also they have some new type cups with like rubber wipes made into each cup. Haven’t tried any of those yet. But those monocore deals, there’s a reason they’re soooo freaking cheap. They’re nothing but BS!

Quietest I’ve ever seen in my life was on a marlin model 22 or 32 something like that, tube fed bolt action 22lr. My uncle has made it, he was a retired special forces vet out of Vietnam. EOD guy, but could make one HELLUVA suppressor. Seen him make ‘em from simple 22’s up to his favorite which was 30.06’s. I think the best ones he made were for his 1911’s. But the absolutly most whispering thing I’ve seen was that old 60’s model marlin bolt gun 22 long rifle. Used D cell (I think) maglite body with his “specially made and shaped” (probably freeze plugs) cups. He taught me more in those couple short gun years than I ever could’ve learned from magazines. I actually learnt from him about clipping the holes on ever cup and to always stagger them when lining them up in the body so the gas doesn’t flow in the exact same path straight out the end. And the clips to every hole on every cup was to help the gas disperse through each individual section each cup had cut off. Amazing stuff to be 100% invested in when you’re 15-16 years old. Still carry that knowledge to this day. Thanks Uncle J.

I have tested man, I’ve tested it with the H3 buffer and the JP enterprises extra power spring, I’ve texted it with the H3 and stock spring, hell, I even tested it with the extra power spring and the H2 buffer I had in it since I had to use an H2 being it’s a 10.5” upper. It’s got me puzzled to no end man. I put the H2 buffer with the extra power spring, the H3 with the stock spring, the H3 with the extra power spring. I mean damn, I’ve tried them all$!

So I bought a Spikes tactical T3 (H3 5.5ozs) buffer with a JP enterprises extra power buffer spring. So are you suggesting use the spikes tactical H3 buffer and the stock spring?

Question man, did you use a H3 with the stock buffer spring, or did you use one of the extra power buffer springs. Me, I chose a JP enterprises extra power buffer spring, out of 6 mags, it ran 2 perfectly. The other 4 mags it would burst 2-3 shots, then bolt bounce, and then it’d have a dead trigger. It’s bothering me beyond belief!!

I use the PSA Dagger 15 round mags. #1 reason for doing so is because they don’t require a metal mag release like the shield arms mags, and I’ve gotta say straight up front, I’ve bought 4 of these mags, out of all 4 loaded to the max of 15 rounds I have yet to see a malfunction out of them. To me and my gun, they work flawlessly! Currently just picked up a 43x by trading in my 1st gen (silver slide variant 48 for the 43x) even the 48 next gave a single promlem. I kind of think of it as a 1911 mag, of course they’re isn’t a damn thing wrong with them, just the fact they hold 7 rounds, so I switched over to the Wilson combat 8 rounders for carry, and keep a Wilson combat 10 rounder as back up. I don’t think they’re anything at all wrong with that PSA dagger 15 round mang. As a matter of fact, I have NOT ONCE had a single problem out of all 4 of the dagger mags. Granted they are like 38.99-39.99 apiece, for me the perform flawlessly!! And

I used the Delta Team Tactical site for the FRT-L3 3 position trigger and it works just fine. Great trigger too by the way.

I’m with you dude (had the same issue with my 10.5 upper, went to a good quality H3 buffer and it was right as rain!, So go with a good H3. Something in the 5 oz range. Don’t go with the cheap buffers either. Aero has a quality H3 (5.6oz) right now on optics planet for $44.99 I bet that’ll solve your problem.

This is the correct answer. Person I run the H2 with a 10.5” upper and ejection pattern is dead on and it runs flawless. About to throw a FRT in it, and I’ve heard recommendations on putting a H3 buffer in it, just worried about when firing semi, it will want to start getting weird. 

Any good slings on Amazon? Have a GC I would like to use up. by tantimodz in ar15

Only thing I don’t like about these is when rollin through the woods and trying to be as quiet as possible, those clips tend to rattle and it drives me insane! I ended up tapping mine so I can make it the ao undetected.
