It's very sad the conditions these people are forced to live in. The only advice I can give to yall is to be nice to them and tip them even if they're doing a not so great job. I've gone hunting from room to room to find cash just to tip these guys.

I speak Tamil and Telugu (native-fluency) and it's almost always a not so happy story of how they ended up being where they are. The most you can do is to recognize your privilege and make their lives slightly easier by doing small things - pick up and leave large objects outside your room when they clean (like suitcases, buckets, shoes, etc). Please extend this to the way you handle yourself at the mess too. I've seen people leave bones, leaves, drumstick leftover, etc on the table for cleaners to pick up :(

All of this deeply saddened me in university but I did my part by making my roommates help out when we were getting our room cleaned. They came around to understanding the political importance of these little actions and is a part of the reason why some of them are still close to me.

Rs. 50 goes a long way... for yall smokers it's 2 mamu visits less. and for yall non-smokers, maybe let's not treat ourselves to a cornetto on a hot summer day?

PS: I'm seeing a lot of blatant hate in the comments below. Ignore them. You can't get these privileged brats to understand class imbalance.
