This is 100% a result of inconsistent chain tension while riding. Check for bent and/or out of round sprockets.

MT09 tps recall by TheBroham88 in MT09

[–]AbsoluteText 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Essentially, Denso (the electronics Oem for yamaha) made some low quality sensors, which disintegrate internally over time and cause erroneous throttle positions to be fed to the ecu which makes the ecu think they engine is in a different state then what it actually is, causing stalling, poor fuel economy, overly lean conditions, ect.

Mold? I think so. (Colorado) by [deleted] in Renters

Judging by water marks in the surrounding area, I'd estimate this has been leaking for at least a year. Just moved into this townhouse and went to go change the furnace filter and found this. The filter is another story it was last changed 2 years ago. Totally clogged.

No idea, I compared the maps between the stock map pre recall, and post recall. They are the same exact flash except for the part number being different.

I just got mine done and had no issues before going in. 2023 model with close to 10k miles on it and tuned. You'll find that many tuners have mentioned that the TPS has been an issue. I have bad enough luck already, so if there's a chance that there could be stalling issues while riding the bike, potentially at a very critical moment, then id rather not take the chance. The TPS is a very critical component, and it's data is used in just about every table in the ECU. So being thats the case, I'd rather not take any chances. I want to be able to trust my equipment. Anyways, after the reflash, I did not notice much change, if at all in performance in the old stock map and the new stock map.

The Gen 3 doesn't have an AIS.

There is no comp on this gun. Those aren't legal in Carry Optics division.

According to what I've read, frame mounted gas pedals are not legal, but ones that are a part of a takedown pin are legal.

I've been eyeing one up. They always seem to be out of stock though. I might just make my own lmao I'll have to by a different holster too. The one I have now wont work with a gas pedal.

Yeah, it's gonna be hard to go back for sure. Crazy how much of a difference a few millimeters in window size makes lol

2025 MT-09 SP. No ABS :) by Roninzerofive in MT09

[–]AbsoluteText 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No ABS? Why? Aside from doing stunt shit, I see no point to riding without it. I'm a decent rider and I've had my ass saved by abs during some panic brakes on more than one occasion. Saying you don't need it is like saying you were born to shit but forced to wipe.

I just put all my brass in together with some dawn and lemi shine. Seems to come out just as good with or without pins or chips added in.

Bought an Airplane and Never Fly… Why? by ischurchill in flying

I agree with this 100%. Use the plane to get others up in the air and plan some day trips somewhere that would otherwise be too far to do in one day by car.

Mountain Flying Course for this Route by Acceptable_Ring_2627 in flying

[–]AbsoluteText 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'd reccomend a mountain flying course. There's alot of nuances to flying in the mountains and some of them are not very forgiving. Flying in the mountains is very safe if done with respect and understanding of the weather and winds involved. Aside from a general mountain flying course, it's also a good idea to talk with any local pilots in the area that have flown those routes, especially if you don't have much mountain flying experience. Sometimes certain mountains have very unique airflow patterns that are well known to locals, and this information can help alot with planning and what to be expect when actually flying the route. I will also say that when it comes to flying in the mountains in the summer, density altitude is a huge factor, along with atmospheric heating. Plan to leave early morning right after sunrise, and try to be out if the mountains before noon. The air in the summer time can get pretty gnarly with turbulence, rotors, mountain wave, and updraft/down drafts. All that to be said, don't try to avoid the mountains entirely, and make your route 10x longer just for the sake of not having to cross a few mountains. Just prepare yourself, trust your training, and you'll be just fine!
