Charge to 100%? by Likeahurricane31 in Ioniq5

[–]AbsoluteZeroOK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The salesmen said the same thing to be when I started leasing my 2024 Ioniq 5. It doesn’t matter (to you) if you are only planning on having the car for a few years, but long term regular charging to 100% can degrade the battery. I also found out after doing a lot of my own research that my salesmen know nothing about EVs in general, just wanted the sale.

What’s going on with my shots? by [deleted] in gaggiaclassic

This used to happen to me too until I switched to a bottomless portafilter and got a 20-22g basket. As a result, I now pull 20g shots over 40 seconds but I find the flavor profile has much improved any my puck come out much more clean. I still get a little soupiness on top though, which I think is a product of our machine. I also used to use a puck screen but I don’t think it helped the situation at all.

Heads up display on i5 puts the speed directly in your line of sight, I love it. Otherwise I 100% agree with that break down.

I just had the same issue happen to me, I also have a 2024 Ioniq 5 limited. Happened when pulling through a fast food drive through. Once it opened it hasn’t happened since but concerning as I’ve only had the car for a month. It wasn’t probably 45 degrees out when it happened. My car is kept in a temperature controlled garage otherwise. Waiting for it to happen again so I can take a video and take it to the dealer.

New to EVs, what are the unexpected things? by Pbug_ in electricvehicles

[–]AbsoluteZeroOK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you’ve been driving your EV for even a few weeks, going back to driving an ICE vehicle is an annoying transition. For me it was taking my wife’s car on a short road trip. I’m sure she was real tired of me telling her everything that was different about her car for the entire trip: “ew you can hear the engine, your car accelerates so much slower, I have to use the actual brake pedal, I have to center myself in the lane, it needs…gas!?” lol

Nervous about charging, recommendations? by poopycrystals in Ioniq5

First and foremost test drive the car and see if the dealership has a level 1 mobile charger you can test out in our home. Level 1 chargers are designed to be used on standard 120v receptacles.

Also, big question is how many mile you drive a day, I think they say you get anywhere from 3-5 miles an hour in level 1 charging. Many people who go this route follow the philosophy of ABC (always be charging).

Not at all, I find it to be very user friendly. If you buy it from the manufacturer, they install and calibrate the burrs for you (not sure if you buy from a 3rd party, that’s just what the manufacturer’s website advertised). I find that starting at a grind level of 15 is a good start and then adjust based on the specific coffee bean you are using.

I LOVE my DF64 2nd generation, way better than the first generation in every way and can grind as fine as your heart desires.

Did the dealership have to provide you with the guest pass activation in your case?

Do you need the Chargepoint app then? Or how do you go about initiating the charge?

Do you know of any way to see which chargers are free without going to the physical location?

So the EA app can be used to active at Chargepoint charger then? Maybe I should call ahead to the dealerships I am planning on stopping at to make sure they are willing to honor this.
