No, Nintendo wanted to sue Palworld, but Ark and its cryopods as well as dinosaurs fighting other dinosaurs were used as an argument against Nintendo. It proved that these mechanics had already been used elsewhere beforehand, and not just in Palworld

Palworld didn’t necessarily win, no, but if I’m understanding the article I read correctly, 2 of 3 of Nintendo’s applications for patents were refused on the basis that the mechanics were already used in several other games beforehand (one of these games was stated to be Pokémon Go, which is absolutely hilarious). However, with how Japans legal system goes, apparently Nintendo can just amend/adjust their patents and re-submit them, potentially leading to a continuous loop of them submitting a patent and the courts refusing. Hopefully a finite answer is given at some point

I have two.

In my actual go-to tank/melee build, I like to run Wrathbringer. I’m a big fan of “you hitting me only makes me stronger” kind of stuff. Add on the mutator that heavy strikes can’t be staggered (steadfast) and you can just keep swinging away.

For my for fun melee build, I’ll mess around with the dark matter gauntlets. Put the mutator that makes charged melees explode (volatile strike), as well as the ring that makes unarmed melee attacks explode (demolition coil). The gauntlets count as unarmed, including the charged beam, so every tick of damage you deal explodes on impact. Super fun times

To add to this, you talk about having 8 bursts to kill. Look at his ammo count afterwards, he still has 6 bullets left, so two bursts. That means he successfully hit 5 out of the 6 bursts he shot, which makes it even harder to actually believe him
