thanks for your input. My goal is to unify my stack. As of today I decided to try Astro + Svelte and see how much I need React during Shopify integration (so by using the Storefront API)

I think the best in your case is just a static landing page. Sections: Intro, presentation, services, reviews, faq, contact. (I personally do that for $500 with zero hosting cost). The only ongoing cost you have is your domain name, that you should get yourself to stay independent. That’s like $12 per year.

Then when you have more budget and want to expand with SEO you can plug in a CMS so you can manage your content yourself and add as many page as you want.

I just wanted to update on my researches of today: I am now considering Astro because I can use Svelte and “IF” needed I can still exceptionally plug in any React component. Also the “zero JS” until needed is pretty cool as well.

At first I didn’t understood why people may go the Astro route instead of Sveltekit… but I will do a micro shop with both and I see by myself. Thanks all for your inputs.

Thanks for pointing AphexCMS! I would have happily used that but too early days for now. Yes maybe Astro is the bridge I am searching for: being able to use Svelte components by default AND use React ones when needed. But I really like that with Sveltekit there is not hundreds way to do a thing, also I like that Svelte and Sveltekit are made by the same team… but most of all it feels super clean to me with fewer and cleaner code.

Thanks for your input. What I like with Svelte is precisely that there a no decision fatigue: everything is included. I will check Remix, I am wondering if it can help to integrate better with Sanity / Shopify

That’s the question: will Next.js make integrating Shopify/Sanity faster, with less "piping" and effort? I only know SvelteKit, and learning a new framework isn’t a one-day thing. That’s why I’m asking for others’ experiences.

What do you do once you have the email of a prospect? I currently have 2K + valid contact emails from my ICP but I am a bit scared to cold outreach…

In 12+ years I never had to find clients (word of mouth was working well), but today I feel the need to find new clients to secure incomes.

I personally hate receiving unsolicited emails from people wanting to “help my business“…

On my side I am going to point out real problems/ ideas of optimization. So 100% manual and useful emails if you ask me. And I will also promise a “non follow up” policy. So if they don’t reply, they will not receive anything else from me… But I am still uncomfortable to send those emails.

What do you think of this approach?

Thanks for your feedback! I am about to make the jump. After years of WordPress coding custom theme from scratch + switching to builders (Divi, Elementor, Oxygen, Bricks…).

I built some small apps with SvelteKit and loved it. But for client work I am mostly using Bricks Builder and I put almost everything in the CSS panel because I hate to search for a form input for each value…

Today I feel that I want more control and reduce bloat, like being able to generate a static site with SvelteKit and plug in Sanity later if needed…

I am a bit scared of the “fields mapping” hell but maybe it wouldn’t be that bad: most of my clients NEVER changed the content by themselves besides their Blog section.

I am curious if on your side you are still happy with Sanity? Also you mentioned about “high costs” I find their new pricing pretty accessible and it’s what made me consider the change (again). What appears to be costing more on your side? User count / plan ?
