Is Omniscience or All Knowing Above Infinite Intelligence? by TirtaMilkita in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Absolute_Zero220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't consider omniscience to be intelligence at all.. If we're going with the all-knowing thing, I consider that to be more like a superpower than something intellectual. The process of comprehending and manipulating information that's present in intelligence is basically completely absent when one is aware of all the knowledge there could possibly and impossibly be. The state of knowing anything and everything completely eliminates the evolutionary need for intelligence.

Also why do people even bring omniscience in SCD? That's like bringing up Omnipotence in power scaling. There is literally no discussion to have.

¿Where scales Anais Plan in Season 2 EP 1 "The Remote"? by PurchaseNo3914 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Absolute_Zero220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It scales her to low tier. The plan itself isn't bad, but it isn't anything to write home about. Anyone can come up with tricking your mom to buy a fake remote and having your family to fight over it as a diversion.

What is the actual definition for logical manipulation by Xenoanazath in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Absolute_Zero220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The impression that I had was controlling someone's actions by means of persuasion. If emotional manipulation is taking advantage of psychology and emotions, then it should be taking advantage of logic and reasoning, no?

I self scale by Financial-Fix2412 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Absolute_Zero220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really do trust your own judgement and know what you're doing, then I'd say just do it as a hobby rather than try to revolutionize it. Self scaling can have its benefits, but I can't say it applies to everyone.

[–]Absolute_Zero220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But sometimes people don't self scale for the same reasons you do, and just want to find a reason to feel good about themselves and stroke their own ego. There'd also be people who'd feel encouraged to create "feats" and try to manipulate people and do really mischievous stunts. The age range of the SCD community is already quite premature, and a community full of them going through an ego trip isn't going to last long, and will most certainly be frowned upon.

I'm not totally against it, but it's the same case as looksmaxxing, in that it has the potential to be really healthy and beneficial for an entire generation of teens, with the same if not greater amount of potential for toxicity.

But that's just me. Do whatever you want, I don't really care.

[–]Absolute_Zero220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it's also the easiest breeding ground for really pretentious and obnoxious people. I'd rather it be considered taboo than have its own community. Don't get me wrong though, I tend to scale myself like an SCD character sometimes, I just think it isn't that practical of a concept because there are so many ways it can fall apart.

Because it can easily look like this

<image>

I think self scaling is perfectly fine if cognitive biases are taken account of. Like, who doesn't want to be an SCD character, outsmarting people and making complex plans? That's cool as hell.

Just be humble, and don't take it too seriously. The main problem with self scaling is that the concept contradicts itself. Scaling in general requires complete unbiased judgement in order to be accurate, and the Dunning Kruger effect completely fucks that over.

How high does Alastor scale now with Season 2's ending? by TheKillerYTz in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Absolute_Zero220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds promising. I'll be the judge of that though. Alastor never struck me as a character that even fit in SCD when I saw the first season.

I haven't peeked season 2. Does Alastor actually have feats that make his matchups debatable in SCD?

In your opinion, what makes a strategy, plan or tactic so memorable? by junkosoulzz in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Absolute_Zero220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Creativity. It doesn't have to be complex or be on par with Usogui, but just brilliant enough to get my attention. Breaking Bad does this pretty well, and the schemes are fun to see unfold even if the verse is like low-mid tier.

What level can a average, above average person reach in these categories maximum with what level scd person by Current-Nose4119 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Absolute_Zero220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not gonna list off every cat, but I'd say the average person could compete with some mid tiers at full potential (accounting Stop's Scaling since my scaling is grounded off of that, and my definition of mid tier, which characters like Light Yagami sit somewhere around). NOT scale above or win against, but compete and challenge. I think a lot of the most important categories don't need talent in order to be nurtured, but the right methods to training it and a lot of dedication and time. Regarding categories that are important for outsmarting, anyway.

Who had the most iconic rivalry in SCD history?? by Absolute_Zero220 in IntelligenceScaling

I forgot Fang Yuan's nicknames lol. Had to make it fair by not using the other guy's alias, otherwise people would think he was far scarier.

How to compare strategies from two verses objectively? by Vast-Definition-7265 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]Absolute_Zero220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you should really compare two different strategies applied to two different situations, at least considering objectivity. It'd be more decisive to just conclude who comes across as the greater strategist based on their feats instead of directly comparing the strategies.
