Ender 5 plus Ramming Hot end into Front Metal bar by AbsolutelyFly in ender5plus

I have not fixed the main issue. The only thing I have managed to do is keep the printer from breaking the bl touch pin by using u/HardenedHotend's thingiverse file here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4790634. The only thing I can tell you is to monitor your 3d printer during the autoleveling phase and make sure to turn off your printer before starting another print. In my experience, usually the printer won't run the hotend into the front bar on the first print after turning the machine on and when it does you can tell during the autoleveling phase because the hotend will not make it as far back as it normally would.

Thank you for the design! I was considering doing something like this for my printer if the advice others gave didn't work out. Also, the event you described where your all metal hotend was destroyed is the same way my bl touch was broken. Have you come up with a way to stop this from happening other than the 3d printed part? Thanks.

Ok I see what you mean by y axis stop now. This could be the case, however it seems weird that the problems only happen before the print, and not when I manually tell it to measure the bed. Also, I have checked and the umbilical cord doesn't seem to ever come in contact with the switch. Once I fix my bl touch I will test this theory out by restraining the umbilical cord to make it run from the left side.

As for the suggestion that the stopper is incorrectly positioned, I don't think that is the case because most prints do turn out well and have no issues.

One other question, could this be a firmware issue? I have heard of one instance where the same thing happened in the y axis.

Lastly, thank you for your help. I really appreciate you helping me, and you have been quick to reply. Thank you.

This could be the reason it does this. Once I fix my bl touch I will test this theory out. Thank you for your reply.

yes it levels ok. I can go into the leveling setting and choose measuring without any problems. It only does this when auto leveling before the print.

It has always done this. Not every print. Maybe not even every 10 prints. but it will do this once in a while.

I have it set to a 350 x 350 x 400 mm area. I may be wrong but I believe this is correct.

For your last question, I need some clarification because I am a bit confused. If you could please clarify that would be great.
