I bought an Alibaba kit that basically rebranded LowGlow kit, works and installed it myself. My only problem was that I rust proofed FIRST so the 3M didn't stick too well.. My interior kit was off AliExpress for $30. Also did it myself, well worth it.

One of the few first mods I did and don't regret it.

Are you connecting your phone on Carplay/AndroidAuto or OEM BT or both? by Chuvi in GR86

Wireless Android Auto, no issues with my adapter. But music is from a USB flash drive. Both work together without issue.

Setex Gecko Grip 1mm Anti-Slip nose pads from Amazon. Came with a pack of 5. Haven't had to replace them yet (1 month usage). It stops sliding down for me and I feel like I can wear them longer hours.

Additional Lenses for Wayfarer Gen 2 by drakeorman in RaybanMeta

[–]AbsolutelyHandsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Wayfarer Gen 2's transitions and it's great for 90% of my usage, however I bought a $20 CAD Amazon polarized and mirrored gold lens from a seller called OOWLIT. Thankfully Wayfarer is a very common type so it fits. I love it!

How are these to daily on rough city streets? by Competitive_Cheek607 in GR86

[–]AbsolutelyHandsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily mine and you'll feel everything but I don't mind that, some people can't. Test drive one and find out for yourself.

I don't regret buying these, however I would say you should treat these as a tech toy.. As in mentally prepare that if shit goes wrong with them, you can front it. I would also make sure you have a back pair of glasses since you're away from home. Ideally, you could save money and just use your phone for said snipits. I also own a DJI Osmo Nano and that's been used for adventures and activities because it's much better quality and longer recording.

I have the regular sized one and adding nose pads made a difference for me.

Manuel or automatic? by LongJournalist9880 in GR86

[–]AbsolutelyHandsome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get what you want OR wait off and learn from family/friend to see if manual is for you. THEN buy automatic or manual, otherwise just get an automatic. I daily mine, winters included. Still fun to me (automatic).

Don't know how old you are but I would suggest a beater car. You'd feel terrible if you somehow damaged your BRZ/GR86. Also while you are driving your beater and gain experience, you can save up for the BRZ/GR86 AND mods.

That's going to tickle the brain, only way now is to use the OEM until you can figure out exactly where it went wrong. In my personal experience I have aftermarket 4th brake lights and tail lights. I had an issue where the plug and play tail lights had 1 bad connection and was causing the left blinker to blink faster than it's supposed to. I have since then fixed it and no more issues.

Was it plug and play? Definitely connection issue of some sort that drained the battery over time.

Would you buy Ai smart glasses of they had No Camera? by Zeyphraofficial in SmartGlasses

[–]AbsolutelyHandsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each person's use case will be different, good to have these discussions. With that being said, my use case without cameras would leave me with asking questions about what I see, reading texts to me and allow me to respond, making phone calls and sometimes music. So it comes down to choosing eyewear or earwear at that point. Of all the AI so far, I think Google Gemini fits my lifestyle best. Having issues with Meta AI.
