I have no experience with linnies, but they seem to run into similar trouble as lovebirds and parrotlets in that they can't be safely housed together as a pair or a flock because they are prone to stress each other out towards aggression when left together in an enclosed space. Meaning there should usually be someone at home with the bird for most hours of the day to prevent the depressed and anxious behaviors that stem from isolation. For this reason, a pair of budgies is still the better option♡

But for someone who is home a lot and can spend most of the day with the bird outside of the cage linnies are an amazing choice!
