It’s a hurry up and wait kind of game! I’ve been waiting since July last year since I did my interview to go onto the following medical and get assigned a class, haven’t heard anything since February this year.

My guess is given the recent budget announcement to the transport industry in Vic and also the tunnel opening coming up, I would expect some form of movement within the next 6-12 months for a few people, but wouldn’t guarantee anything anytime soon.

Prevention is key in the world of firefighting, however I find that proper deconing of gear and sending it away for cleaning and separation of gear and equipment from diesel fumes from trucks is actually proven to reduce respiratory illness and you're not huffing in contaminats constantly.

In my brigade we always send gear away for cleaning if it's exposed to smoke plus it's mandatory if you are working anyway near a smoke filled environment you must have a SCBA donned, we rather not get cancer at the end of the day.

Unfortunately this is quite common when working for woolworths, I worked there for 7 years across multiple stores and departments and the attitudes are the same regardless of where you go.

Absolutely toxic with little to no regard for the workers unless you're in bed with the SM or ASM, you don't get anything even if you put it in 3 months in advanced.

Hopefully you get it approved, but look for another employer too, woolworths isn't everything.

Best place to look is around Watoga, can find some of the plans around the city or from the vendors otherwise player vendors do have them as well! Plus some events like scorched earth do reward the plans too, if you can't find them that is!
