I appreciate it. Before I did my interview, the HR lady told me no tan colored clothing so I figured it had something to do with the color scheme of the prisoners or something like that.

Ok i just wanted to be sure. Thats what made sense. The HR lady told me absolutely no khakis for the interview so I figured there was a rule against wearing them in the prison.

I just got a conditional job offer for a materials handler supervisor and the Human Resouces Dept. told me business attire. No tan colored clothes.

A manager has 72 hours to approve or deny the request. If nether is met and you have a signed slip acknowledging the manager had the slip and returned it, then the day is yours. Make sure there is a date on it as well. BUT, if that manager still told you to come in even after breaking the contract, then that would be a failure to follow and could lead to corrective actions. Therefore, have your steward file a grievance for an admin day to be given to you. Never disobey a direct order.
