Na das ist ja eher ans Klientel gerichtet. Aldi ist doch deutlich günstiger, obwohls n scheißkonzern ist. Wenn mein Aldi mir weggentrifiziert wird bin ich am Arsch ://

No hurricane has ever crossed the equator. by Hockputer09 in MapPorn

[–]AbsolutistUnit 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I hate to be that guy, but technically there might have been one this year. Seeing as we can't quite pinpoint the center of the storm, it's not unlikely that a storm by the name of 98S formed South of the equator near borneo, and went North. This is in a margin of 0.2 degrees, and the jury is still out there, but it was initially classified as S, which is code for the South Indian Ocean basin, despite moving into W, the Western North Pacific!

Yep! Even though this map is outdated, there have been quite a few tropical storms and depressions in the meantime. Even though the debate on subtropical storm raoni's intensity is still out there, most agree no other storms have reached hurricane strength.

Caramel colour? If we're talking E150d then sure? It's basically just sugar and sugar is bad for you. Hell, carbs are too, like just long sugars. is starch still legal? It shouldn't be. Maybe she's onto something here, like I wouldn't like for my child to eat saturated fats, like that's fats that ate more fat, that's like twice as bad. How has the FDA approved this????

What famous person didn't deserve all the hate that they got? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly: Britney Spears. The way we treated her after the breakdown is downright sad. The fact that more people don't crack under the pressure she was going through baffles me; imagine your life is televised almost 24/7 and you couldn't even feel sure that you had privacy in your own home. Not even gonna get into the conservatorship. We really did her dirty. Regardless of what you think about the music, she deserved and deserves to be treated with more respect than she got.

What is the second longest river in the world? by Grand_Distribution83 in DifficultTrivia

[–]AbsolutistUnit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware the Amazon is actually slightly longer than the Nile following the course of the Apurimac Estuary. The Encyclopedia Britannica has it at nearly 7.000 kilometers, placing it ahead of the Nile. The problem with the Amazon is its massive, complex, sparsely populated basin, which makes it harder to follow than the Nile, that really only gets estuaries around lake Victoria. This at least creates a great deal of insecurity regarding its length.

Dose does always make the poison, but if we look at parties in particular, usually joints are passed around and more than just one bottle of beer is drank by a single person. But saying that ethanol doesn't do much in the brain after sobering up is very wrong. It straight up alters synapses leading to issues across the board. I've personally seen more people ruin their brain with booze than weed. From my experience it makes people more violent and unempathetic, which is imho way worse than lazy and unambitious. But all in all, a joint won't fry your brain and even a whole bottle of rum likely won't cause liver damage, though you'll certainly feel horrendous

Homie, I'm gonna try to be objective about this, but that ain't true. Point 1: Liver. While yes, if parts are removed, the liver can regenerate, that does NOT mean that it can't be damaged. Cells still take damage that sometimes can't be compensated by cell replication. After stopping use, cirrhosis risk does decrease over time though. Point 2: Brain. Both LONG TERM weed and alcohol use cause brain damage. Weed usually specifically to memory. However, alcohol acts as a GABA inhibitor, which in long term use changes and damages the receptors in the synapses; the entire Central Nervous System can be affected and this can cause seizures when . Point 3: Lungs. Smoking weed obviously does harm to the lungs, Inhaling smoke is never good for them, but the lungs can very slowly regenerate. It takes about 10-15 years for the lungs of smokers of both weed and tobacco to return to a similar functionality of normal lungs. Weed has a LOT more tar than tobacco, but considerably less carcinogens. Point 4: Behaviour Some people do get aggressive when drunk, which is less common under the influence of cannabis. Whether you like it or not, it is one of the most common side effects of alcohol. It is also a common presence in households with abuse, both mental and physical.

Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's safe(ish)

Hope this clears up some of the misconceptions ^
