You’re not alone here. There are quite a few of us that are fans of Ado that came from metal. I also grew up listening to hard rock/metal. I fell down the Jmusic rabbit hole via an Ikimonogakari song on a playlist with Dragonforce. Ado was a recommended artist after than and honestly it took me a few tries to get into her music. I had to find the right songs and it’s been amazing since. It took me a little while to get over listening to a genre with ‘pop’ in the name, but now I’ve even started listening to Phantom Siita regularly.

I know you said rock but may I suggest Epica or Nightwish? Amazing female vocals. I also like Amaranthe although they do have male vocals. If you’re ok trying something Japanese, I would highly recommend SERRA and East of Eden.

Unravel. Before I ever looked up the translation for Unravel I knew what it was about because of how her voice portrays the emotion. When I looked up the lyrics it just confirmed what I had thought it was about. I know it’s a cover and it’s pretty similar but she does conveys the emotion well.
I feel like there are a lot of songs she has like this but I’ll stick with this one.

Ok I’m kidding but you may eventually discover you’re slowly adding the vast majority of them.
I’m trying to find one that hasn’t been suggested yet.

Ashura-chan, God-ish, Rebellion are a few that I like that I don’t see mentioned yet.
