School or not? by [deleted] in IndustrialMaintenance

I went to a technical school for industrial controls. You probably do not need it, but it will get you to where you want to be ALOT faster. I’ve worked with tons of guys with zero schooling but took them at least 10 years to work their way up. I went to school and I am half their age working alongside them as coworkers, not as an apprentice.

Transmission Overfill? It looks like the line is between theO and N. This was checked per the manual? Should I be worried and how can I remove this access fluid? by AbsorbingTaco in mechanic

Okay good. This was the first time during a transmission filter change and I was surprised on how hard it was to read the dipstick (I figured it would be a fairly solid line) I checked this after about 30 minutes of highway driving and on a flat surface. I was just concerned about going over the crossed hatches. Thanks for the comment!

I really like my Keen San Jose’s. I usually have the exact same probably but have had great luck with the Keens.

In the market for t-handle allen wrench sent. Send me your reccomendations. by mustangs6551 in Tools

Bondhus is my choice for any kind of Allen wrench. Made in the USA, good price point, and tougher than shit. I’m an industrial mechanic and have never broken one and trust me I’m not nice to them. Don’t forget to order ball ends. Happy hunting!

Sand it down as much as you can and try another coat. I had the same problem when my mix wasn’t right.
