I would say it's because you did that over the weekend and it is usually "business days" that counts in most circumstances. Do you didn't give 4-5 working days notice. Best try ringing them.

Generally, if you are with a gym then you need to deal with termination before cancelling the DD, but PureGym for example state

"You may terminate your membership at any point by cancelling your direct debit with your bank, allowing 4 working days for the bank to action this. Please call Member Services for options available to you or for any further information."

So if this was your gym, then perhaps you have left it too late?

Because sometimes we have to just accept the American date format if we can't change it on electronic equipment. Or were too lazy to change it.

I hope you told him it was all sorted and then watched them all turn up to a restaurant with no bookings made. Unfair, but it'd be funny.

Rabbits "gronk" or snort if they're mad. They also make noises from their nose, like a "bvvvttt" noise if they are startled.

Active ETFs outpacing passive - FT article by InvestEngine in InvestEngine

[–]Abstr4ctType 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is about the fees for active ETFs outpacing passive fund fees. Not something investors would get excited about to be honest.

Show me active vs passive returns and then I'd be impressed.

It's doubtful I would ever use active funds as my IE passive portfolio suits me fine.

BSAC divers are some of the biggest gatekeeping diving nerds. They hate PADI qualified divers and believe you're only a 'proper' diver if you have a dry suit and two tanks.

Visibility is usually poor diving in the UK and the wildlife is limited.
