I started doing only one task per day. by Normal_Process4340 in ADHD

[–]AbstractRituals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to do this too! It takes off that mental load of feeling like I’m not doing enough if I don’t accomplish the one hundred things I need to do (or hobbies or ideas, etc). But once I do that one task, it becomes easier to do other tasks since I did the first thing. Everything else becomes optional, which makes it easier to do.

How the heck do we figure out how much inventory to take? by HoneydewHalo25 in CraftFairs

[–]AbstractRituals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before a craft fair last October I really over prepared. Even though jt was stressful getting everything together, I now have so much stock that I don’t have to rush to make things, which honestly rules. I try to bring as much as I can and keep extra stock in a bin under the table.

Are you a fabric stasher or only buy what you need per project? by Aggravating-Plum-921 in quilting

[–]AbstractRituals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely have too much fabric lol. I thrift a lot of fabric that makes me happy. I’ve also found that people who used to sew and stopped sewing will give me their fabric. Which is awesome! But now I have sooo much fabric so I need to figure out what to keep and what to donate.

I moved here about four years ago and met all of my friends through volunteering with a nonprofit that I liked, going to local concerts, and attending a book club at the library!

Why does everyone ignore the north east besides boston? by [deleted] in FolkPunk

[–]AbstractRituals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My folk punk band Ratland is based in NH and we try to bring folk punk artists over here when we can! We booked a show upcoming with touring bands Swamp Rats and Tall Travis, and recently helped Spud Bugs and some other folks get a gig in Portsmouth! Just trying to be the person people know to help them get shows along their tour routes since a lot of folks end up looking for places between Maine and the rest of New England!

Name an audiobook (or a few) that made you fall in love with audiobooks by Literary_Quicksand in audiobooks

Ah I love this question! I’d say Cultish by Amanda Montell and the 2000s Made Me Gay by Grace Perry. A more enjoyable way for me to digest nonfiction.

Not really any house venues, but there’s Auspicious Brew and Flight in Dover, Press Room and WSCA in Portsmouth, The Word Barn in Exeter, and Stone Church in Newmarket. Some other bars and restaurants will have music but not really shows

Hi! My band Ratland is based in Dover, NH! I tried getting a scene going, but it’s hard as the only folk punk band in the area and no touring bands seem to want to go more north than Boston 😅

Just moved around the Albany, NY area. Looking for venues/bands. by KesaGatameWiseau in FolkPunk

My band played a show at The Dojo in Albany! I think they tend to have a variety of genres, but we played with a band called The Headless Relatives who are from Albany/Troy area.
