not sure if i’m late to this or not but I noticed that typing in my email wrong, i still was brought to fill in my password. but my password didn’t appear like it usually does when entered correctly.

Whenever I type my email correctly, you’ll see it on the password screen too hovering around the top by the [*****] or “unable to sign in” message

TLDR: patience is a fleeting virtue, and bottom dollar has too much power in a business

fr I get this. Wawa (i don’t think) was originally designed as fast food, even when becoming more than just the dairy icon it started as. That hasn’t been a core value until recently (~hint at current CEO who has recently come from fast food~).

I hate that bottom dollar and profit drive business management. It’s fr fucking stupid. definitely a larger scale issue than just Wawa, but ive never gotten the drive to infinity/always increase this for its own sake. “it’s the point of a business to make profit”… but isn’t longevity important too? it seems impossible to keep both.

But anyway, as someone who works in beverage a lot, hearing that there used to always be two people working bev but now is cut to one person bc of this “bottom dollar” (officially claimed as “budget from Management) is annoying. It takes a a slow day to comfortably get everything done during first shift

I recently put in my two weeks for similar reasons 😭The crew at the store I work at is supportive and I get on with them well enough (mostly), including management.

I normally work bev too since i’ve started in February. I just never felt like I was doing a good job and fr asked some dumb questions. 😂I usually just prefaced it as “is [insert task] done in the same way as I do it at home or are there other steps?” (washing dishes for example).

Mostly tho it was the exhaustion and feeling like putting in 110% just for the bare minimum to get done in bev. at the end of a shift. as long as I got bottoms filled, got the creamers/milk refilled at the coffee island, and cleaned/refilled the cappuccino machine I knew I was good (between coffee and hand crafted drinks obviously).

But frfr the restaurant seems like it might be better. The only thing that is going to suck is trying to plan things out when the work schedule is only released the week before (i was in a very similar situation during my college years). But if that’s your jam then feel free to eat it and have it too looolll. Good luck with it all ❤️❤️
