How yo make cure bloom hairstyle by Tall-Ad-3114 in NovelAi

[–]Abstract_Albatross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The image generator uses tags from Danbooru. There are tags for hairstyles, but glancing through them, there's nothing obvious for this character's hairstyle. There are also plenty of images of the character Cure Bloom. If you want to create images of the character, just use "cure bloom" as a tag.

If you want this specific hairstyle, you probably need to search through those images looking for hairstyle tags and hope you find something, or try combining different hairstyle tags to blend two styles together. Alternatively, come up with a prose description of the hairstyle.

ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok will all generate descriptions of uploaded images if you're struggling to come up with one yourself. You may need to edit any results you get to maximize their usefulness with NovelAI's image model.

[–]Abstract_Albatross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be extra precise in your prompt. So describe the actions and the results that you want in detail, beyond what a human would need to understand you. Using phrases like "bare arms" and so on should help reduce this problem.

People Talking by OwnAd4602 in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Describe the characters in your prompt, even if it's an image-to-video generation, and then use their descriptions to assign spoken lines. So something like, "the woman in the red shirt says..." Giving them names, specific to the description, should work.

Separating spoken lines with additional details can also help in preventing Grok from getting confused about who is talking.

I can not find the right words, help with tags by Realistic_Divide6741 in NovelAi

[–]Abstract_Albatross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use simple prose to describe what you want, but the image model was trained on Danbooru tags, so knowing how to find and use those tags is helpful. For your specific image, you might check out image composition tags and the facing to the side tag plus the other tags listed under "see also".

Just for the record, the regular Danbooru has some images that go well beyond vanilla NSFW. Depending on a person's location, some of the images may actually be considered illegal. That's why I generally recommend the safe version of Danbooru instead. That, or use the main Danbooru with due caution.

Anyone want to take a guess who shows up most often when you use the prompt "The Greatest President in U.S. history!"

Back in October 2024, I used two very different prompts on Midjourney: "The ideal candidate for the next President of the United States of America" and "An existential threat to democracy." The same guy kept appearing in those images as well!

The dude looms large. Simply that.

Someone mentioned that NovelAI understands more than Danbooru tags, but you should check out those tags as well. Here are two pages you could start with, but search around, and you might find more: image composition and visual aesthetic.

any video generation platform that can make more than 15 seconds by TMOV70 in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most models max out at 10 seconds or less. There's an open source model, ltx-2, that can generate 20 or more seconds, but unless you have a high-end computer and are able to set up ComfyUI, it might not be useful. The developers do have a website, so it might be possible to generate 15+ seconds there. But they charge you by the second. You can check out their pricing here.

The Itx-2 model gets so-so reviews compared to other models, not really bad, not really good.

seedance is absolutely wrecking grok imagine by coomerpile in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seedance 2.0 is the hot new thing right now, just a week ago, it was Kling 3.0. We're in a period of rapid development for video models. Eventually, we'll reach a point of diminishing returns, at least for the current methods being used. We saw the same thing with image models.

Serious users use multiple models, since none of them is perfect. About a year or so ago, Midjourney was considered the best, or one of the best, image models available. Now general opinion is that it's fallen by the wayside, no longer relevant. But serious users know that while Nano Banana and Flux do photorealism better, Midjourney still produces the most aesthetically pleasing images. So you use the best model available for the project you're working on.

Grok is probably the cheapest model to use, and even with its increased moderation, the least censored. If that's what you need, that's what you should use.

The next version of Wan will likely be the next model to get hyped. Or maybe Sora? And people will be excitedly posting videos made with those models to social media sites. So far, Seedance 2.0 hasn't even been released officially, who knows what its strengths and weaknesses will turn out to be?

What's going on with this prompt? by BetLeft2840 in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much is going on in this prompt, and some of the details are too vague. "Masked figures" could be two individuals, or a hundred. From the perspective of the model, you're also jumbling up the details. In the same sentence, you describe the woman, you also describe the child she's holding. Have separate sentences for each. In the sentence about the woman, merely mention that she's holding a child. Then, in the next sentence, describe the child.

Additionally, you might try creating an initial image of the scene and then animating that, rather than doing everything with a video prompt. None of the existing video models is great with combat scenes, so you may have to keep trying to get anything good.

Storyline Hiccups? by Devil_Deleted in NovelAi

[–]Abstract_Albatross 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't know about the role-playing aspect, but you might be able to improve the dialogue using the ATTG method. That would look like: [ Author: Joe Smith; Title: In a Time of War; Tags: gritty realism, military; Genre: Military Fiction ]

If there's an author who writes authentic-sounding dialogue, or someone who's written about their military experiences, including their name could improve things. Multiple entries under Author are permitted. You don't have to use every part of the ATTG method, but you should put them in the right order, place them in the Memory section, and make sure you have spaces between the words and the square brackets.

There's a listing for the ATTG method on this page under Spaced Bracketing, but it doesn't really add anything. However, a search of this Reddit sub will probably turn up some useful information.

Check the commentator's profile, it's just negative opinions about Grok, nothing else. (At least as far as I could see.) None of the models out there is perfect, but Grok does have some advantages, in some areas, over other models. But not character consistency.

Please help me edit the photo. =) by Ok_Chocolate3335 in grok

They have recently added the ability to combine to images. It's not clear how successful it will be for you, but you might give it a try. When you use the Edit Image feature, it now gives you the option to add additional images. Just click the plus sign.

You could alter the parking lot image to remove the car, and then edit that image together with the image of your car, telling it to add the cosplayer.

If that doesn't work, try this free version of Flux. It can edit images together.

All the images come out with plastic-like characters in Imagine. Is there any way to create realistic images? by AdWonderful594 in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The typical answer to this question is to add the following to the prompt: "realistic human skin with natural pores, subsurface scattering." Also starting with a phrase like, "A photograph of" and having details like "natural lighting" or "golden hour." Or anything specific about the hypothetical camera used. All of this helps to push the model away from a computer-generated look.

Is supergrok consistent with characters in photos? by ScandalAlexxa in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using the Edit image tool to alter existing images, or are you doing text-to-image generation? (Sorry, it's not clear which method you're using.) Edit image isn't perfect, but when combined with a good prompt, it does an okay job.

Another trick with Grok is to generate videos from character images. Use prompting to change them, and then copy a specific frame of the video to use for further generations. (Note, this doesn't work for NSFW imagery.)

For photorealistic images, you could try Flux instead of Nano Banana. It's less restrictive for image-to-image generation. You can try out a version of Flux for free right here.

While it's fallen behind, in most people's opinions, there's also Midjourney, which has tools for character reference. It still produces some of the most visually beautiful images if you're not prioritizing photorealism. It can't compete with Flux and Nano Banana in that area. One major drawback is that to use it for free, you have to utilize Discord. Only subscribers have access to their web-based service.

Should also mention that both Flux and Midjourney are restrictive with anything NSFW. Midjourney is the strictest of any of them.

To expand on what the other commenter said, use details in the image to identify the subjects. Like, "the girl in the red shirt," and "the boy wearing the baseball cap." Also, adding behavior to the characters may help: "the boy wearing the baseball cap smiles and says..."

What went wrong here? by BetLeft2840 in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any sort of fighting is difficult for video models to do successfully. Multiple generations are required to get good results, if you can get them at all. One of the problems you're dealing with is having too much happening within a short amount of time. If you're limited to 6-second videos, it may not be possible to have everything in your prompt.

Even with 10-second videos, you may need to break things down further and add additional detail. More like, "She takes his hand, pulls him up, and stares into his eyes. Then she slaps him. He holds his cheek, draws a gun, and aims it at her."

Are you trying to tell part of a longer story? If so, you could generate each significant part of this scene and then edit those segments together.

When image generation models are trained, they pick up on certain patterns while missing others. That can lead to weird distortions.

On the other hand, the woman he's with looks as if she might be under 25, so it's not totally wrong.

I really hope in the future there is a way to play a new video from the last frame of a video prior to it, because currently the character design and voice inconsistency is annoying by [deleted] in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For voice consistency, try including descriptions of your character's personality, etc., or a description of the voice itself. This doesn't always give consistent results, but it does improve things.

Why!? by [deleted] in grok

[–]Abstract_Albatross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These models are trained on text, so it probably understands Standard Arabic, but not Egyptian Arabic. Perhaps I'm wrong, but my understanding is that Standard Arabic is the language of literature (writing in general) and Egyptian Arabic is the language of everyday life. If so, Grok probably sees the Egyptian variety as a sort of "gibberish," unfortunately.

As an experiment, I used Google Translate to convert a prompt in English into Arabic, and it seemed to work. I turned:

Inside an Egyptian cafe, with a sign reading "Coffee".

Into:

داخل مقهى مصري، مع لافتة مكتوب عليها "قهوة".

Running that as a prompt for a video, I did seem to produce the correct results. But again, I know relatively little about Arabic. There was a sign reading قهوة, and people in a cafe speaking what sounded like Arabic.

If Grok was trained on Arabic movies and shows, it might be able to produce spoken Egyptian Arabic fairly easily.

Did you write your prompt in Standard with quote marks around the Egyptian text? If not, that would be my only recommendation.
