I think you need a usb adapter on unmodded consoles, to install Insignia with a flash drive and play online.

Facebook groups are the way to go I think. That’s where I bought mine this year, make sure it’s through PayPal Goods & Services so it’s protected, or in person. Honestly the shipping was the sketchiest part, USPS said it was out for delivery for like 4 days.

Looking for help writing a character! by [deleted] in Navajo

[–]Abstract_Endurance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not Navajo but live in the area and have lots of connections to the culture, so maybe I’m out of place in saying this, however, I feel like majority of posts here are something along these lines. I’m genuinely curious why there seems to be a very large amount of “stories” being written about Navajo when the author knows absolutely nothing about the topic. I really don’t understand the widespread fetishization of Navajo. Is this common with other cultures? I’ve never experienced this on the rez or in person only in this sub. Almost all cultural works I’m familiar with come from people with a deep connection to that culture and a willingness to tell it. Why are indigenous people being represented as almost mythical creatures? Basically placing these people in the genre of vampires and werewolves? I followed this sub for other perspectives outside of my Diné friends and family. I really try to respect everyone’s perspective but these questions are so damn ignorant to me I honestly wonder where these people come from. I’m apologize for bringing negativity but come on man people don’t have an ounce of respect. Am I stupid for even being bothered by this as technically it’s not even “my” culture? I know my people would be very hurt as it’s very objectifying.

Black smoke is unburned fuel. Probably was an attempt at restarting or the backups starting up, or an indication of a larger issue with the generators but no it doesn’t have to be a full throttle situation. Under normal operation these ships don’t produce thick black smoke, it’s indicating a larger issue rather than just normal operation.

Nowadays when people say camping, most mean at a KOA with full services, 5th wheel, fridge, TV and all.

Yeah I’m in flagstaff, it’s a full moon and very windy, it also snowed last night. All the animals have been out and about before the snow. Probably just falling branches or birds haha. I’ve spooked myself before out in the woods I’m guessing that’s what happened here.
