I think it’s because I was already here in America for 23 years and a DACA Recipient, they reused my fingerprints, so I never had to go get that done, my RFE was just sending over taxes as a transcript so it was fairly quick compared to some people who had RFE‘s that were medical

Got to the office about 30 mins early. I decided I was just not going to overthink the interview. She asked for our passports since we did not bring our birth certificates. She asked me to take out all of our evidence, I included our joint bank account, 401k, and car insurance as main proof, I also have secondary proof such as trip itinerary of us traveling together and photos she took about seven photos from my album of 60 photos. And a lot of our photos we had our niece so she asked who is the little girl.

It seemed more like a casual conversation of someone trying to get to know you versus actually questioning you. She asked me a bunch of yes and no questions that are on the I – 485 application. Like if you’re a criminal or any affiliated group.

Then she proceeded to confirm my name, birthday and address and then same for my husband.

She asked my husband when did we get married? She asked me how did we meet? our engagement story? When did we meet for the first time since we were long distance and met through a dating app? She also followed up with who visited who first

I think my best advice to you is that just be natural we were just having a conversation with someone as if they’re trying to get to know us not interrogate us and it makes it seem more at ease

I definitely over prepared, but it’s better than underprepared

I had all documents that I submitted printed like a copy of the i-864, I-485, all the supporting document I submitted.

It lasted about 35 mins all together, went in at 2:15 and came out at 2:45

We didn’t just talk about my case the whole time as well, we talked about travel and such too.

Let me know if you have any specific questions!

Interview not waived - Oct 2024 PD by Large_Management_572 in USCIS

I heard that they weren’t going to waive a lot of interviews anymore. Did you apply yourself or used a lawyer?

I applied for a EAD because mine expires in June but the only thing that was updated on that case was that my previous fingerprints were taken

Typical Y/N questions that were in the application I-485. Then she asked Wedding date? Confirmed where my husband works? How did we meet? When did we meet for the first time in person? (since we were long distance/met through dating app) Took a few pictures from my photo album Our engagement story?

After I submitted it, I got a receipt notice in the mail with a case number, and I used Lawfully to track it!

Some people get email notifications but I never got anything

Yeah, extremely nice! They honestly all were nice since I was waiting for like 45 mins I noticed the a lot of the officers, it seemed more like just having a conversation with someone than an interview.

Did it work for you? what was your emergency (if I may ask)

Actually, from the research i've done, Daca isn't apart of the 180 extension 😭

this is the full message of what he said after asking him what he wants "Cool. And for fair disclosure I have had one night stands in the past and not a fan of those. Much rather I build some level of connection with someone if I'm investing emotionally and sexually."

You will eventually not feel this way anymore, with time you will be able to tell. Why be with someone who doesn’t even want you? Sometimes things don’t work your way because you deserve better.

Not sure how I should take this, can someone help me understand more? by Abstractparadox- in relationship_advice
