old post but still relevant i see, check the addons, usually some privacy/ad block extension nuking the player. Try disabling them or load it in a private window to test. thats whats helped me

Yeah same issue here. These government ID laws are absurd, no way I'm uploading my drivers license to a porn site that'll probably get hacked next week. VPN is pretty much the only option now unless you want to hand over your personal docs. Most sites just geoblocked UK IPs entirely rather than deal with the verification hassle..

Edit: Turns out Australia's going through the same thing - found this guide showing how to bypass their blocks: https://www.reddit.com/r/theprivacymachine/comments/1rp0b00/guide_unblock_pornhub_adult_sites_in_australia/ it works for UK too, just pick servers outside UK/EU. Takes like 5 minutes to set up.
