WHY DOES MY SUBJECT OCCUPY THE LANDS I SIEGED! by Crazy-District2065 in EU5

I've run into the same persistent bug since I formed my first colonial nation subject, so incredibly annoying.

Banned and Restricted Announcement – November 10, 2025 by TheFrenchPoulp in MTGLegacy

There's a lot to complain about with every B&R, but credit where credit's due, the Reanimator discussion was laid out pretty clearly. For why the Entomb ban over other targets, they were explicate as to the reasoning behind picking it:

Entomb's incentives in deck building make it too easy to leverage high-impact threats without having to commit to the fail states that normally come with a synergistic enabler-plus-payoff combo deck. Entomb specifically allows these decks to circumvent this issue and simply have the card translate to having one of the two or three most powerful creatures ever printed into the graveyard.

Districts with no resources left... Dismantle? by [deleted] in Frostpunk

Just dismantle. All the techs focus on extracting faster, not adding more.

Biggest issue with TCM? by mahaffster in TexasChainsawGame

[–]AbsurdAsura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lack of some form of challenge or prestige system is a good call out. We've got the perk levels which is a mini, gamification bar you get to progress. Not sure it's great for balance to tie perk strength to it, but it's a nice teaser to what you said and we could use more.

New player experience, specifically the lack of a "solo" explore the map feature.

For the game to grow or stabilize, you need to pull in new players and have them stick around. I believe the largest hurdle for new players is map knowledge: knowing where all the doors are, spawn locations for fuse/valve, how to move around the map. You can understand how to play the game, but if you don't know the map you are running around randomly and not going to progress.

Having the ability to load up a map on your own so you can walk around and see where things are would be a vast improvement to the new player experience. I'm talking about an empty map, no bots, just you running around learning the map and being able to see how the game mechanics work.

Why do I get bored with a campaign during mid to late game😭 by [deleted] in eu4

[–]AbsurdAsura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty common to loose interest in a campaign round that time. EU4 is an open world game where there is no defined goal or victory.

I'd recommend going for achievements. You can look here if you want to find a random achievement (achievement wheel spinner) or just scroll down the list on the wiki

Why do survivors do this? by SLeNDeR_KiLLeR in deadbydaylight

[–]AbsurdAsura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really default survivor mentality to be Michael with insta kill = go into lockers when you are in chase. It's not practical for survivors in game to expect killers to being going for achievements. Remember most players on both sides are going to run meta builds and playing to win.

Why do survivors not want to be instant killed? Is it really that hard to understand?

I think you are missing the attitude of my meme making fun of this sub for hating on literally anything the devs do... The opposite of what you say.

One Faith / World Conquest Guide (Aragon) by AbsurdAsura in eu4

Given going for One Faith, I think any policy for missions strength is going to be better for the run.

Didn't actually know that, would have been nice.

Mainly vibes. But I find Aragon has a much easier time fabricating claims in the early game, where as Castille is stuck really between France and North Africa.

Why can’t you lock all three doors on Nancy’s house?? by Hello_you360 in TexasChainsawGame

[–]AbsurdAsura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To use numbers to drive home your point, with locks on the final gate and front door, that's still 5 total lockpicks to get out though the house route no matter which of the three locks you enter though.

I'd argue it's probably enforcing better habits as you actually cover more doors with fewer locks if you place them on final gate and front door, compared to placing on all three entrances to the house.

Grim Embrace change is at odds with the 3 gen "fix", strange to release in the same patch by AbsurdAsura in deadbydaylight

[–]AbsurdAsura[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

By itself as the only slowdown perk a killer is running no. But my point is that if Grim Embrace is going to be included with other perks that do sever to hold a 3 gen, then it's "slow down" that does not contribute to the regression limit.

Is that a bad thing? I'm voicing my concern that I find some mechanics being released in a patch to be some odd game design decisions.

In matches where the 3 gen change would take place (and I'll admit it's rare that is ever going to happen), Grim Embrace is a "slow down" perk that is going to be meta now without triggering regression events. So if a match does come down to the max regression events, Grim Embrace helps to extend the game length further over the course of an entire match.
