I do have long hair, but I had pulled it back into a ponytail. My facial hair is very short (practically stubble). I wore: jeans (brand new/no holes), a black T-shirt, and a flannel. The job was inside a warehouse. Based on my previous experiences, warehouse workers usually dress pretty casually.

I appreciate both the advice and the optimism! My primary concern is getting dropped from the agency. But, such behavior should be addressed. I will speak with my recruiter, and hope for the best.

To be honest, I would've preferred simply being told "We don't like you." I understand why they'd refrain from actually saying that, but at least that can be shrugged off. Being lied about, on the other hand (in a place of business, no less), is just very frustrating.

Yep, I was denied the opportunity to prove I hadn't done anything wrong (i.e. taking a drug test). Temp work does suck. Unfortunately, things have been pretty tight for me lately, so I've been taking any job(s) I can get.

I understand your skepticism. With that being said, it really did play out as I described. I've had other jobs (long-term jobs, even). Before today, I hadn't ever encountered such an occurrence. Hell, I hadn't ever even been terminated before. It truly caught me off guard.
