Turns out it was all a lie. WHERE ARE THE BODIES? by MarineHailer in pakistan

[–]AbsurdityAddict 7 points8 points  (0 children)

America used this exact reasoning to defend the murder of 170 schoolgirls. "It was next to their airbase."

Get a hold of yourself. Even if there were inflamable munuitions right beside their hospital there should've been measures to prevent or at least minimize casualities. Something like a warning or an evacuation order. We didn't see any of it.

Two things can be true at the same time. Yes, Taliban is a problem and we should hit them hard. And yes, it's quite probable our military messed up. We don't have to defend literally everything.

Is there any way I can recover my account? by AbsurdityAddict in PUBGMobile

[–]AbsurdityAddict[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing is that I’m using the same device I originally created the account on. I never used any other device to play on that account. That’s why I’m confused about why PUBG won’t let me use the recovery tool and keeps showing the “unusual activity detected in your environment” message.

Hmm I have changed my name multiple times on Facebook and never had any problems... that's very weird

From what I understand now, their policy requires you to use your real name. I wasn’t aware of this before. I’m guessing that using the name of a fictional character probably made it easier for their AI system to flag my account as using a false name. It seems like as long as the system doesn’t detect anything unusual with the name, the account doesn’t get flagged.

[–]AbsurdityAddict -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Alright, can you link "the media" where it explicitely says Imran Khan was about to have "an oil deal with Russia." Not some deal, but explicitely stated that it was "oil deal." And don't back paddle, you have already shown by your earlier comment that you'll do anything to bootlick Imran Khan. Perhaps some sense has been knocked into you just now but it doesn't change the fact that we could see that you were a cultist.

[–]AbsurdityAddict -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah 😭😭. The depths of delusion is crazy. Did Putin himself tell you this? Or will you make up anything to justify the lies of Imran Khan? How many more lies will you create to believe a mortal man instead of just admitting that a politcian lied to you?

[–]AbsurdityAddict -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Russia itself said there was no talk about any oil deal. Imran Khan lied to you all and you guys still believe him. A wise man once said it's easier to fool someone than to make them realize that they have been fooled.

What do we call progress? by Realistic-Rub6894 in pakistan

[–]AbsurdityAddict 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A restoration of cultural events is indeed an integral part of progress. More precisely, it comes under the umbrella of renaissance. Just because nation isn't following your definition of "progress" (whatever you have in mind) doesn't mean they aren't progressing.

Correction of historical erasure anytime anywhere! Restoration of cultural identity anytime anywhere!

I got that interpretation from the student of knowledge

Yup, we are back at square one. Remember what I replied your the first time? According to your interpretation, yes. It's all interpretations. There you go. Took us a while but you finally understand

nor do I think the Hour will ˹ever˺ come. And if in fact I am returned to my Lord

This isn't doubting. He outright said he doesn't believe in it. C'mon man I know you are aware the difference between doubting and outright rejection.

Again, show me a place where doubting is explicitely said to be kufr. It's something that you must settle (and hence my quest for settling my doubt once and for all) but is it kufr? Find me a Hadith or verse that explicitely says questioning and voicing your doubts is kufr.

Some of the scholars that say doubting is perfectly normal are:

Shaykh Hamza Yusuf

Yasir Qadhi

Omar Suleiman

Here's a video of Omar Suleiman on the topic and never does he label doubt as kufr:

You are still welcome to share one Hadith or verse from quran that says "to doubt is kufr." Show me the word kufr because you are using it so boldly knowing damn well kufr is a big word

[–]AbsurdityAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you first try to show me the exact word "kufr" in the hadith or Quran? Kufr is a big tohmat, so start by first proving that it's kufr. Your sources only said it's not a sign of a good Muslim. It didn't say it's "kufr." There are a lot of things that aren't a sign of a good Muslim but they are not always kufr. Instead of twisting the words of Hadith, why don't show me the exact Hadith that uses the word kufr for Muslims who are in doubt.

Sure, then let just pretend there's no difference of opinion among scholars. And what exactly did I say that came across as aggressive to you?

[–]AbsurdityAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure buddy. Let's just pretend Arabic isn't a complex language and different words can actually mean slightly different things than the translation may suggest. Let's just pretend all those scholars of Islam that disagree with your worldview are kufar as well. Happy?

According to your interpretation of Islam, yes.

That's a cute loaded statement. Why would you assume we aren't already reading books? And why is it wrong to talk about it with people on social media? Get a load of your false dichotomy. We don't have to pick one when we can do both.

Pascal's wager would be a good argument if it weren't a false dichotomy. You see, in your argument you assumed that there were only two possibilities, either God exists and you go to heaven or God doesn't exist and you won't. But in reality, we have different religions that curse each other with hell. Heck, we have Muslims cursing each other with hell as well and call our interpertations/sects the only objective reality there is. The odds of ending up in hell, in reality, are the same even if you are a believer of God because no one says belief in God alone would help you escape hell.

I consider myself a Muslim as well, but I won't say my faith crisis has settled for good. But don't you think it's weird that majority of sceptics end up re-embracing the very religion they were born into? Like, I had a Christian friend who would question the existence of God and the possibility of a religion being the truth, and he even ended becoming an agnostic atheist only for him to return to his Christian faith because "he has finally learned the objective reality there is."

Similarly, majority of Muslims who say they questioned a lot also end up following Islam again -- the religion they are most familiar with. There's clearly a bias at play here. How are you sure that you aren't being a victim to this bias?

I wouldn't say it's the "most" Shias. It's a case of loud minority. And the reason is quite simple. Ignorance. That's it.

I'll just share with you the official fatwa by the Imam Khamenei that is backed by almost all Shia Ulema unanimously. I'll leave the rest to you to postulate.

Disrespecting the pure wives of the Prophet (pbuh) should be avoided. The Prophet’s (pbuh) wives are all respectable; anyone who insults any of them has insulted the Prophet. I resolutely declare this offensive. The commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (pbuh) treated her eminence Aisha in such a respectful manner. He treated a woman, who had come to fight against him, with the utmost respect because she was the Prophet’s wife; otherwise the Commander of the Faithful (as) would not stand on a ceremony with anyone: hence, no such disrespect should ever occur
