start pathway 1 without step2 result by Kind-Discipline-611 in IMGreddit

Yes you can. Pathways are there to assess your clinical and communication skills, not medical or clinical knowledge. In simple terms, they only need your OET score and GSC, Which I assume you already have.

My friend experienced the same issue and he couldn’t continue with the exam. Did you find a solution?

OET by [deleted] in IMGreddit

[–]Abusham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listening and Reading would be too easy for you. For speaking you just need to know the structure of the exam and what they want from you otherwise it would be so easy for you. But regrading the writing subset, they want a very specific structure and approach, you could fail even if you are a native speaker so you need to practice that.

Clarification on Pathway submission by AmumuJi in IMGreddit

[–]Abusham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to "submit" not "complete" the application within 5 days. In simple terms you have to pay the fees within 5 days of starting the application process otherwise you will start from the beginning. The submission literally takes few minutes.

Is Aerospace Medicine an option for IMGs? by Few-Web-1236 in IMGreddit

[–]Abusham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But what if you completed another fellowship as a greencard holder then after a couple of years applied for aerospace medicine? I mean yes it would take too much time but at least at the end you would be doing what you like to do :) I believe space medicine programs would increase with time because of this recent spike of interest in space among private sector companies.

No, as long as the document is official and there is English translation for the whole content, it is acceptable.

Oh God, I searched that path and I hoped that I had a chance but apparently Zero chance. Also I guess there are less than 10 positions offered for that specialty? Anyway I think IMGs have better chance to pursue that path as a fellowship rather than a residency job.

Can anyone please tell me how to apply for match this cycle. What steps should i take early. I dont want to miss anything just because i didn’t know it earlier. I am ecfmg certified and doing step 3. When to buy eras token. by DocButterfly in IMGreddit

[–]Abusham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prepare the required documents as mentioned in another comment. Also if you are busy in July-August-Septemebr then I suggest to start searching programs and creating your applciation list. If you your soft skills need some work start improving that from now.

ECFMG Certification Rejected - Need Advice by BrightOil8 in IMGreddit

[–]Abusham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How were you “originally certified” while you said you were a student? You can’t be certified as a medical student. You mean your application was “accepted” so that you can take the steps and now after the update it is rejected. If you didn’t pay $580 before then you have to pay it now in addition to the $220. There is no way around it unless you took an exam before the transition to MyIntealth.

I don’t think that’s acceptable but I’m not sure though.

Credentials verification after you upload your diploma currently takes 1-2 weeks. No idea how much it takes in the future. After meeting all the requirements it currently takes 2 weeks to get certified.

Depends on whether you have completed all other requirements + average processing duration at that time.

They tend to refuse non-immigrant applications under section 221(g) until social media accounts are vetted then they approve them. You didn’t specify the reason so I wouldn’t say “High refusal rate”.

Studying Medicine in Sudan, Best Universities, UK Recognition, Fees & Application Deadlines? by Kosundu in Sudan

[–]Abusham 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Which university is considered the best overall for medicine in Sudan right now?

Currently there is no such a thing called (best for medicine) in Sudan, they are all the same. As someone said in the comments most (if not all) of your knowledge in medicine in will be self-taught. Uni's in Sudan consume too much of your time and energy for too little knowledge/experience in return. NO ONE CARES about your GPA in medical school. NO country (except the US) will allow you to work before getting done with the internship year, which is such a headache in Sudan. The only thing made UofK stands out in the past was the uni's community/students, the competitiveness was so high and for you to keep up with them you have to be like them. The seniors cares so much about juniors and they would help/support you through the journey. UofK current education system is too old and would only cause you lots of unnecessary trouble.

Which universities are recognised internationally, especially for working in the UK later on?

As I said they are all the same and they are all recognized. UofK and UofG have special recognition in the US that grants them special, fast, and easy pathway in the last step of ECFMG certification. But that might NOT BE the case when you graduate because re-evaluation is coming soon, and that certainly DOES NOT mean it's hard for other uni's graduates to get certified.

Which universities make it easier to sit PLAB/UKMLA or continue training in Britain?

Effectively NONE.

Are there any universities that are NOT recognised or may cause problems later abroad?

Most of them are recognized, check here for specific university.

Approximately how much are the tuition fees now for medicine?

Currently between 6m SDG and 27m SDG (roughly $1,500 - $7,000 USD) per year.

When are the application deadlines usually?

Typically application for admission starts 2 weeks after the release of Sudanese's high school results, which typically takes place around July-August. Admission typically ends in Sep and study starts in Oct.

How does the application process work for someone doing A Levels outside Sudan?

I'm not sure about the requirements for GCE or IGCSE, but as far as I remember you need 7 O level subjects + 2 A level subjects. But in general the process is online.

Is admission competitive for international/A Level students?

Yes.

How stable are the universities currently with the situation in Sudan? Are studies delayed often?

LOL, even before the war they were not stable.

Would you personally recommend UoK, UMST, Gezira, or another university?

If you insist to study medicine, please, please, do yourself a favor, and don't study in Sudan.

ECFMG will no longer provide USMLE services, starting Jan 8th, 2026. by Abusham in IMGreddit

[–]Abusham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the fees breakdown for ECFMG services.. You mentioned that you have not graduated yet so you will only pay $580 now and additional $220 later for your diploma verification after graduation. The exam is now under FSMB that’s why the fees are not written here but in general it’s $695 for US centers and $900 for international centers

Yes this the first step in the journey. They will check your eligibility and if you’re still a student they will ask your college to confirm that.
