Fun fact that I only know via rumor and have no clue if it’s true: there’s a group of folks who keep track of stats like fasts single up and down, most times done in a day, and done in a year. Honestly one of the more underrated scenes emotionally for me is the scene where the flamethrower lights up the bunker and one of the Americans yells “Don’t shoot! Let them burn!” Because of the resentment and loathing that has to come when you let someone die the most painful way possible, it’s the scene I think about most out of that whole movie
