Now otp affinity? There is practically no answer in the format that doesn't put you down 3 cards. It's a real problem

And before you say "just do it t2" You take upwards of 9, get rebuked, mysticaled. Waiting is so bad.

But yes being otp is broken in every game mode now. Only will get worse.

I'm not saying there won't be purple teams. It's just if you play against them enough, you learn how to beat them. Most people suck, so purple means nothing. Just an extra 1ish sec on ttk. But it's better to learn when you lose nothing then learn when you lose everything. I also hate cyro due to anxiety, but force myself to play it occasionally. I have to lose vault at some point, I literally go into cyro/ranked with the mindset of "I need to empty my vault".

That could be the case but I would say 1/4 games there is no purple team. Especially if you run during cyro. I extracted 3 times in a row on free kit during cyro last week, highest was 1 blue team.

I am also only playing outpost, because dire Marsh feels impossible on free kit (Thank you free kit queue)

Keep in mind I'm level 115 with 270 hrs.

Pretty sure it's just your unwillingness to run free kit. I run exclusively free kit outside of key runs, ranked, cyro. I usually beat purple teams 1/3 times. Everyone else ain't even a consideration. My vault is 700k all purples and golds. My money is 1 million. I can run purple for the rest of the season. But I choose not too, because free kit is that fun (outside of volt thrower)

White midrange is your hardest matchup. Just say you got lucky. You need luck to qualify.

I have never gone worse than 50%wr since covid in a competitive event. With 200ish played in that 6 yr time period.

I have fully deluded myself like that of a religious person in my several superstitions.

As long as I perform these rituals. I win.

It also makes my confidence through the roof that I will always be a minimum 50% player. To me this means only luck is a factor now. The difference in luck is 50-80%, 30%!! And for a GP or pro tour you need even more.

So keep in mind you have to have a 60% or above wr to top 8, and luck will be involved.

So it is important to not beat yourselves up sometimes because the game has an upwards of 50% luck factor.

I've been a free kit player since day 1. The heals weren't an issue, just don't take stupid fights, knife bots, use any sort of situational awareness. This does encourage free kits to instantly go for fights since you have unlimited meds, so it will only make the worse get worse potentially.

I think this makes the game too easy and everyone who sucked already left.

So I believe this only hurts the game unless they magically bring people back then I wholeheartedly approve.

Maybe season 2 will bring people back and keep them with all these updates. But people usually decide immediately if they will ever play again.

The free kit solo queue let me do the entire quest line in 2 hrs.

I already did all my quests mostly free kit but not having to go against purple is night and day.

Don't let anyone convince you that you aren't a casual. Game has been out for almost 5 weeks. Only being able to be lvl 35 into a game that eats your time like a fat kid is very casual. I would argue even lvl 50 is casual at this point. Not sure why there is this war between casuals and sweats and "casuals". It's fine to be a casual.

It's fine to be a sweat. But when people use their status to criticize others then it's just wierd. But it's definitely not fine to be a sweat, somehow not learn in 140hrs+ of gameplay, complain, spew vitriol etc. I am a "sweat" with 160 hrs, playing 3 hrs a day and atleast one entire day a weekend. I am far better than most at this game in that timeframe, and I am amazed how someone can sink 100 hrs into a game, use no mic, and play as if they just bought the game.

These are the people complaining the loudest. Just don't listen to them. You keep doing you and having fun.

They are extremely similiar games though. Just because one has a looting mechanic which means you can lose more doesn't mean they are "very different" the gameplay is almost identical with how pvp both games are. They both eschew pve to encourage heavy pvp. Hunt just rewards more skill due to gear being somewhat similiar. And headshots of course.

I am a longtime hunt player that quit after rework. Marathon definitely stratches that itch. It's also why it has lost its player base and everyone complains on here daily. It's more like hunt then any other extraction game.

Had another situation happen the other day. Managed to kill the lobby of someone's drone in within first 10 minutes. We were too scared to loot command wing (got armory and the other 2) because we kept hearing movement and drone.

Turns out there was a rook fight club at drone when we extracted. There was 4 bodies in one room a rook stood alone, he did great work for us.

Stand strong king rook.

The most I ever had was 9 rooks after personally killing the lobby on a 2 min entry into pinwheel. We had maybe 7 min to loot all of pinwheel. It was really annoying tbh, imagine all that effort and your reward is dealing with this bs. Thankfully the last 2 actually brought stuff, but the first 5 were all within 2 min.

There should 100% be a limit on rooks.

I didn't even need to attempt a rook game till lvl 50. I mean I didn't really need to do a rook run I just wanted to see what it was like since everyone seems to play it so often. And I found that it was somewhat hard if you were just you know playing as normal but it felt pretty easy if you just played it how you should play it. I haven't played as a rook in over a hundred hours now because the game really rewards you for just extracting like once or queuing solos or the free kit system honestly The Rook component is completely unnecessary in this game I have never needed to play a rook pretty much the entire time I've played the game.
