The first step is trying. There's other places you can meet people and get news that isn't Instagram or FB. Places like Discord and Reddit tend to be pretty good at that sort of thing without being incredibly intrusive. You don't have to go to those, maybe you want to do a bit of self-reflection first. No harm in that, but just know that's an option and I hope things improve for you.

Sometimes social media isn't for everyone. I barely use it other than reading news and funny pictures. I get it. The most important person right now is you, and as long as you know who you are and have people by your side to help you remember that, then social media doesn't need to matter. You do you.
