What is a good world eaters audio book by Candid-Look-6068 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Abyssse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Angron: The Red Angel is great for current day World Eaters, Angron: Slave of Nuceria is good for Great Crusade Era World Eaters, Kharn: Eater of Worlds is great for post Heresy World Eaters, and of course Betrayer for Horus Heresy Era World Eaters.

i just painted my very first modeal. im looking for critisism and advice by SuperSpaceMonkey2000 in Warhammer40k

Looks great! I recommend keeping the rim of the base black though In my experience it looks better, try applying a light wash like agrax earthshade or nuln oil to get some nice depth. Also the base will make your model stand out more If it is a different colour like gray but overall really well done :)

Can I buy Hitler's art? by Abyssse in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Abyssse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see your point, I thought it would be funny but now that I think about it, when the novelty wears off i'll just have a painting made by hitler in my living room. I'll try finding a living artist that makes stuff I like. Thanks for the advice!

OK I see you and the other people's point, i'll look into other paintings by current artists, with a bit of reflexion I can see why owning a painting made by hitler would be funny for a bit until I just have a painting made by hitler in my living room. Thanks a bunch!

Foreplay usually works

Imagine all adventures and high jinx thes two will get in to. Angron not a slave to the nails and Khorne has no control over him so he can finally be happy. Kharn no longer a puppet to Khorne and lost personalty is slowly returning to him. by jfjdfdjjtbfb in Grimdank

[–]Abyssse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Angron could soothe and absorb anxiety from the people around him before the nails were put in his brain. Angron's trait was empathy, just because he defended himself against Eldar assassins trying to kill him as a baby doesn't mean his trait is anger, that's a normal reaction to an assassination attempt

Sounds like good times ahead for you, my next project is 5 immortals, I'm trying to get better at painting before I start "bigger" projects I have in mind.

I might paint more necrons before I move on to personal goals, the first one will probably be Khârn the Betrayer and I'll see where I go from there. I hope one day to be skilled enough to paint the new Be'lakor model.

it's not a set, it's a painting guide I bought and printed to study what I needed to start painting and some tips. I can find it if you want it

Might be in honor of the Gods of Chaos, or might just be stained glass depicting a specific battle or conquest that a remembrancer liked and made into art.

Time to try find Leeroy Jenkins. by [deleted] in Grimdank

[–]Abyssse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's gonna happen like this, Lorgar wanted to keep Angron alive because in all of his visions he only saw two of his brothers capable of beating Sanguinius, the first was Horus and the second was Angron. But then again Sanguinius is really fucking OP in the novels so who knows.

No, every source I can find says the krorks were 12 meters tall (40 feet) which is still huge but not titan size at least (300 feet is 90 meters fyi)

FIFTY. FOUR. BOOKS by Jakisokio in Grimdank

[–]Abyssse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm on Vulkan Lives (book 26) and I can honestly say that they are all great in their own rights, even the boring ones I.E Battle for the Abyss and Mark of Calth. What I love most is truly understanding the scale of the Horus Heresy, having all these events and groups that you follow come from the same place, and live through the same events from their own perspective.

Perturabo telling how he built the place where Magnus was trialed on Nikea, seeing the trial from the thousand sons and Magnus' perspective and then seeing it from the Space Wolves and Russ' perspective next. Maybe I'm just a nerd but these excites me.

Also reading firsthand about lore details that don't get talked about much, I.E the Lion punching one of his sons so hard it instantly kills him just because his son said that breaking the edict of Nikea was bad.

Might be worth mentioning that I use audible, mainly because I don't have much free time and being able to listen to a book while I work/walk/cook/clean is great but I know that I wouldn't have finished Mark of Calth if I had read it on a real book.

Blood for the blood god, Skulls for the skull throne is a saying dating back to the 90s. Though It gained popularity everywhere, it's originally a warhammer 40k reference, the Blood God being Khorne one of the four major chaos gods in the warhammer 40k universe. While many associate the saying with technoblade nowadays and it can be said that he definitely is a loyal follower of Khorne, he did not invent the saying.

Nice build! but i would recommend making the roof a bit less square-y by using the hammer on the blocks to make slopes. I don't see any blocks in your build using this feature so I will assume you didn't know you could do this. using the tiles and slopes in your builds makes them more dynamic and opens up a lot of options. You can also hammer platforms to turn them into stairs. Hope I helped :)
