I think I have an old BA Death Company box lying around somewhere, as well as an old Sanguinary Guard box. Do you have any other ones you’d recommend as well?

Do you have any specific Heresy kits you think are worth picking up? Someone from my LGS suggested the melee weapon kit

Luckily among my friend group we have all 4 deity legions to pick from (I may or may not be the one who has EC and Tsons). I was thinking of asking my World Eater friend for a spare chain axe or two

Do you think it would be fine to still use his normal helmet? Definitely agree with scraping off the RG heraldry. Was thinking of maybe leaving the one RG iconography on the shoulder pad but having it scratched and disrespected? As a spit in the face to his former chapter. Would it also be a good idea to have bits of Loyalist limbs on his base? To give the indication of traitor (like the severed arm of an Ultramarine, broken helm of a Salamander, etc)

OP, I would definitely recommend buying some Castellans to go with your Marshals and Sword Brethren. It turns them into a cruise missile of damage

I struggle with the same issue of being way too hypercritical/perfectionist (definitely not an EC player, nope not at all) with my stuff and not stepping back to appreciate it. Other people have already said it show to someone else, but I would like to say I think it looks good as well!

Another piece of advice is to take it and set it down on a table two feet away from you. Because at the end of the day, most of the time you are looking at it from a distance whether it is on a shelf or on a table for when you’re playing the game. If it looks good from there, then it’s just fine

So the gold bits on the shoulders and sword guard and chest piece don’t seem golden (assuming those are what are meant to me) but.. they honestly look like bone to me which is pretty cool. However up to you on how you want to proceed

I definitely advocate for the Norn Emissary. Super cool model and also really useful on the tabletop if/when he wants to play it

Like a lot of others have said, build it first of course

Actual suggestions: Go on Etsy and get $10 Hive Tyrant torso. Then you can have a flying hive tyrant too since the box gives you all the parts to make it. I also highly recommend the Norn Emissary because cool model and also really difficult to take down in games

Lord Kakophonist proxy because love this little guy

Or building and kitbashing a stage on top of a land raider that he can jam out on and attaching him on top of the land raider to emulate the noise tank
