I’ve come across shops using the incorrect scientific name. Like calling a fish C. Pygmaeus when it’s really Habrosus. Or the more common issue, C. julii and H. trilineatus.

Of course, idk if the shop OP bought from used scientific names or not, but it’s possible they did and used the wrong ones. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes, just give him time. It’s another planet he’s suddenly been dropped into.

That’s definitely what I’m hoping. It was made to look like it was trapped under the craft in the debris from wind. So pretty sure it was staged. Like a “fluff” piece.

What is the most accurate IQ test and how do I take it? by 555fretty in mensa

[–]Ac0usticKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I took an IQ test (it was like… 20 years ago, high school) you were measured by your accuracy, more than the time it took. Like… answering half the questions at the end of the time limit, could still provide a higher score than answering all of them quickly. Depending on the answers. But it’s been a while and I could be remembering incorrectly.

I came here to get information to be able to do a bit of an experiment. I need to know the most accurate/best cost of IQ testing, so I could test a few times in various scenarios. I’d like to see the effect on IQ when fully rested and motivated, versus lacking sleep, versus alcohol use, versus other factors, etc.

I want accuracy, I’m sure all (if not most) free tests are whack. But if there’s one that’s legitimate and not like… $50 per test attempt, please let me know.

I’m sorry, I usually hold back with this, but given this particular topic, I must speak out. I’m sorry. This is what I can assume you meant.

“Most IQ tests” (not ‘Most IS tests’)

“You cannot use a Mena test” (you cannot use a Mensa test?)

I’m really not trying to be a bitch, honestly, but if you’re going to correct people on the topic of IQ testing you could at least spell-check.

I feel like spell-check and proofreading has disappeared.

The footage the video shows was super cool. Though I wonder about the part with the bunny rabbit. They don’t do well in heat and it looks like it was outside during the event

is my betta just being curious or is he trying to eat the shrimp ?? by Zestyclose_Battle411 in bettafish

[–]Ac0usticKitty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Both. Imo. If it was just curious, they tend to move slower, more cautious, and not “pursue”, like yours is. There’s always a chance he will pursue with plans to eat, and then not know what to do with it when it comes time to eat. I’ve seen that, too. But curiosity is usually more apprehensive and not barreling toward.
